So glad that Gunn has entered the picture! He is an in your face reminder to Spike that he is really going to lose BUffy if he doesn't wise up quick ;D I know Gunn and Buffy are just friends now..but he is just what we need to get Spike's back up..and now it's not all about...Spike is marrying someone else..let's feel bad for Buffy. Here is a reminder that Buffy doesn't have to be lonely..So HA SPike..LOL He is SO marrying Fred for all the wrong reasons..and it's just stupid! Still waiting for him to realize that he's not doing Fred any favors..

I was delighted to read an update of this tight, emotional story. The push and pull of their attraction is wonderful, even as it's heart wrenching. You're writing these two emotionally fragile characters very well. Their pursuit of the murderer is an excellent back drop and you're keeping it entertaining. Those two are experiencing major emotional turmoil in every story I'm reading right, and though I love it all, tonight just verges a bit on the side of heavy. I wonder though if Fred will take him back. She knows deep down and already seemed like she was ready to let him go if he came to his senses. Maybe she has enough sense to give him the right push. Either way, I'm along for the ride.

YAY!! I'm always so excited to see an update from you on any of your stories, and we got 2 in one week - first Sanctuary and now this one! This was an excellent chapter - so glad that Buffy finally admitted the truth to Spike about not sleeping with anyone else. I love your writing because you never take the easy way out for the characters. You give them depth and feelings, and you take the reader along on the roller coaster of emotions that the characters are feeling. I think my heart will shatter right along with Buffy's when and if Spike leaves to go back to Fred.

The honorable thing!? What about the honorable thing toward Buffy? Is tying yourself to someone that you are not truly IN LOVE with an honorable thing? He may love Fred..but he is NOT in love with her. He has and is breaking Buffy's heart..what about how she feels? She has basically told him that she cannot find anyone else that she can even come close to loving like she does him..after HE told her to go out and date around! Hmmfff...Still waiting for Spike to get a clue...but I LOVE this story! Great update ; )

Excellent chapter! Love a good argument. Such passion. Felt like I was a fly on the wall. Unfortunately, I think they needed a catalyst to get everything that they've not been telling one another since they've been apart. The heat of the moment has a way of making basic truths come out. Like the fact that they're still so attacted to & in love with one another that they're driving each other crazy. Glad they stopped before they went any further, though. Hoping that Fred's "thinking" brings her to the conclusion that she & Spike shouldn't get married, for the sake of her happiness as well as Buffy & Spike.

I enjoyed learning more about Buffy's time away from Spike. The feelings and the passion are definitely still there, it's a shame Spike's duty to Fred is in the way. Personally I think if Spike really cares about Fred he'll let her go, she deserves to find a man that's truly in love with her. Loved the chapter!
