I have to say that this was an extremely upsetting chapter. Rape is a very frightening thing and it was so upsetting to see Spike runaway from trouble like that. Especially considering what happened to his mother, you think he'd be even MORE determined from stopping a woman being hurt again. I understand that the memories overcame him, but it was still very upsetting to see a poor girl left to victimization from an authority figure like that. So frustrating too! But saying that, I am hooked to your story and I can't wait for more. I don't care if Spike is a fictional character, if he hurts Buffy after what she's been through, I'm ringing his neck! :-)

Ooh. Evil villain asserts his presence. I'm very pleased that you went back to the plot development of the story. Poor, damaged Spike and Buffy. Spike for having that auditory trigger taking him back to the murder and Buffy for reliving whatever physical violation/trauma she experienced. Great job in moving the story along.

Oooooooo... Ethan is such a slime covered weasel. I wish Spike had gone in there and punched his face, but his reaction was completely understandable. Wow. As HOT as the last chapter was, I'm glad that you reined things in a bit. The evil cliffhanger was not resolved but you gave the readers the softer side of Spike--letting us catch more of William. He's sincere when he says "no regrets" and is simply so sweet when he carries Buffy home. The best part is that you even showed his snark, while being so reassuring about the new couple's experiences. Despite all of his problems, Spike seems to know what he's found in Buffy. Hope she gives him a chance. Also can you fix Spike's "I don't want to here it" after Buffy tries to put her past out there?

You ARE bad... but are forgiven for a wonderful update. I am so curious to know what is lingering in Buffy's past, and if it's really as serious as she seems to think... The scene between Spike and Giles was really touching. I hope they can finally start to deal with all the pain that they are still feeling around Jenny's death. Thanks for the fix, you know just how to keep a junkie happy!! :)

You're evil...or must have made a deal with the devil to write smut like that. Your Spike sure seems to know what to do with all his wiggly appendages.
Favorite line: "She grasped fistfulls of silken sand,her glazed irises soliciting for a release"--it really made me feel Buffy on edge. I think your earlier line, when Spike "drug her shirt away" could be replaced with dragged and have a better flow.
I know that your Spike hasn't opened up to anyone in 4 years, but to leave him a virgin is too cruel. Your Buffy is really breaking down his walls, isn't she? She's also a "typical" Buffy what with the mixed signals, mis-communication and back again to your EVIL cliffhanger.
You've definitely got me coming back for more (tee hee).
