Well, I'm one glad fan that the pictures are back, so thanks in that regard; I hope the story hasn't changed, but that's up to you as always as you're the author of this wonderfully dark story.

Oh, and it occurred to me two things: 1.): there was a distinct slavery theme in Season 6 of the show, but it was undercurrent, as was with the Initiative's antics, maybe they were short of money for one thing that led them to "farming out" the HSTs for additional cash- lovely touch in the end, though, especially how Buffy reacts and Tara's response to this whole thing... and I do enjoy this story, believe me.

And #2.): I don't doubt that the First would most certainly encourage the enslavement of the HSTs to weaken the humans through laziness, a common malady of slave-owners throughout history, as they usually became accustomed to easy production and unpaid labor- labor they didn't have to pay for; they were, in a very literal sense, stealing the work of their "labor crews", and engaged in a lifestyle of theft, so I do wonder how Buffy'll react and how long her morals will last in this situation wherein she actually *owns* a previous opponent- maybe that's why she selected him as her slave: her love of dominating him.

I really did enjoy reading about her predatory perspective on the HSTs; that is sheer BRILLIANCE, kudos and congratulations on that detail! I love the bological elements in this work you have going on here, so thanks for that touch- I really do find it delightful!

I look forward to seeing how you decide build Spike back into Spike and to find out why Angel was trying to get him also and what he'll try and do to convince Buffy she should give Spike up to him. Awww. Ok, breath, stop`fangirling. Sorry, just love it too bloody much. What an excellent work on Spike characterization, I can see him acting like this if he had to face such treatment for years, it's William flowering raw. And Buffy, I am so glad you let her be tender and loving, she was too flinty to see him suffer in canon, she is better here but still in character. The emotional aspect is so powerful in the story. Hope to read this and many more from you. :)

It was worth the wait (well, if Buffy telling the commandos that "that one is mine" works that is). Sure hope Buffy gets to take Spike home soon. So what did the doctor find out about Spike, what is Buffy worried about that she hired the doctor? What will the commandos do with Angel/us (and I hope its very painful). More please.
