*gg* They have a second Akita now? And Spike has moved in secretly. So life is good for them now :)
The only bad part is that Xander and Anya are back. Look see! Buffy doesn't feel well? Mmmh-hmmm.
And Spike is taking care of Buffy... making her a doctor appointment. And after the good bad again, Xander hits Buffy's friends now.
But yay! Buffy is pregnant too :) And Spike proposed marriage to Buffy! :)

This chapter was definitely full of surprises. The Andrew incident was very unexpected, i'm glad he's gonna be okay though. I liked Dr. Johnny's scene with Spike and Buffy.
It's a shame the running Angel out town backfired on Spike. Should be interesting to see who finds Angel first.
Gotta say you did a great job of keeping the suspense going about who was preggers, for a minute there I actually thought it was gonna be Yuki-Kuma. Loved the new Spuffy development. Wonderful update!

I enjoyed the info about Akitas, Spike's story about Hachi-Ko was really heartwarming. I liked the scene in the airport, Spike's interaction with Brutus was fun. I'm glad Brutus took to Buffy so easily. Loved Spike and Buffy's conversation at the end of the chapter.
The glimpse into Xander and Anya's honeymoon was definitely interesting, it seems that marriage certainly hasn't made their volatile relationship any better.
Can't wait to find out who becomes pregnant! Fantastic chapter!

Author's Response: Xander is weak in many ways (Buffy especially) and Faith knows this. It's Anya we need to worry about because she is a lost soul where her Xander is concerned and there is heartache awaiting her at every turn. Buffy is stronger then she thinks and Spike 'knows' this. I don't know if you are familiar with Akitas. They are Japanese fighting dogs and I hope to go into a long explaination about them in the next chapter. In Japan, or so I have heard, some mothers have their Akitas 'babysit' the kids when they go to work. Akitas are very protective of 'their' human families and this is what endears ours to us so. I think the next chapter might be very educational about Akitas and don't worry, Brutus will accept Buffy because Spike will want him to! Thanks, spuf

At least the Spike and Buffy Families are all in the know of the something romantic going on now and Brutus is coming soon! I'm sure he'll help with the antics (and I anticipate he'll be very protective of Buffy if someone unpleasant comes to visit). more please.

Author's Response: Yes, well, the Harris marriage is just going to get better! (Not!) The funny thing about Akitas is that they are very loyal (strike that and make it possessive) of 'their' families. Spike will have to introduce Buffy to Brutus in a good way or there might be problems. My family has had Akita's since my husband and I have been married. Actually, it's the children of the family that you have to be careful about. Akitas tend to think that the ppl family children are 'theirs' and should not be approached by other children at all. They consider all outsiders a threat to 'their' ppl. I have had to keep neighborhood children out of our back yard and away from our dogs. Sometimes they feel that the other kids are going to harm the family child (my daughters). Our Akita now is quite friendly, but he is still a puppy really. However, if Spike makes Brutus aware that Buffy is alright (though most Akitas are astute about human personalities) then there should be no problem. Thanks, spuf

Author's Response: Don't worry about Brutus...one thing about Akitas is that they are very intuitive to evil or questionable ppl. My husband used to breed them and we have had at least one Akita dog since we've been married (16 years). Thank you, spuf

I knew the PAX thing cause of an old movie starring John Saxton and Ted Cassidy (the guy who played Lurch in the Original Addams Family series) but just for fun, I looked up on the internet and one of the things I got just seemed perfect. It called it "A Kiss of Peace" and we all know that in the Spuffy world Kissing and a Piece... er I mean PEACE go hand in hand. Love this tale and I really thought Xander showed alot of restraint dealing with Nina, cause she got to keep all her fingers and is (at least at this point) running around kinda free and unharmed). Thanks for the great update. More please.

Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoy it when readers investigate certain meanings and translations that I use in the stories! I enjoy sparking an interest in history or word meanings. One of the translations I read re: PAX is that in some religious ceremonies, Judas is portrayed as 'kissing Jesus' or 'PAX' in the rites. Interesting take on that biblical scene.
