I really enjoyed learning more about what kind of person Anya is. I loved the bedroom scenes at Buffy's place. That was one scary hint you gave us, I hope Spike and Buffy take Angel down. Great chapter!

Author's Response: Anya rather confused me in the show. They never really explained her until 7 and then I kind of lost interest? Angel is kind of a no good 'ghosty' type in this fic. He's around and he's evil but not right up front, you know? Buffy is not used to a long haul guy like Spike in this fic. She's been around but unfortunately, around the wrong block! Thanks, spuf

I liked the flashback, it really gave us new insight into just how demented Xander really is. Intriguing twist that Anya heard Xander's confession, should be interesting to see how Anya handles this news. I really loved the Spike/Buffy interaction in the chapter. I especially enjoyed their date. It's so great to see their relationship progressing. Wonderful update!

He was the one who raped her, but I guess he doesn't see it that way. I hope he rots in hell after lots of torture. I hope it works out for Spike and Buffy. I'm glad she's his girl now. Oh wow.. I didn't expect that. No wonder Buffy is a bit off. She got raped by Xander and got pregnant (and had an abortion)? No wonder she feels so twisted. I bet this incident did make her wish that she never would have saved Xander grow stronger. ~ And when she never told anyone before she isn't finished to mourn it. ~ Good chapter, it worked; I could feel Buffy's pain.

Author's Response: Yes, she had an abortion because she felt it was her only choice. Remember the scene in Godfather II; where Kate tells Michael that she had to abort the baby to stop this unholy repeat of history? Kind of like that. Spike is going to react, violently at first and it will be up to Buffy to take the beast. Thank you, spuf

OMG... What an unexpected twist the plot took at the end of the chapter. Poor Buffy, i'm definitely feeling her pain. I'm so glad she decided to open up to Spike. Loved the little moment when Buffy realized she could trust Spike, maybe now that her secret is out she can begin to heal. Fantastic chapter!

The part started as hot as the other almost ended *gg* And Spike told her he had been keeping tabs on her for ages; if he hadn't an interest in her he wouldn't :) ~ Oh my.. it seems not only Xander, his brother Franklin too have some feelings regarding Buffy. ~ I hope if Buffy tries to run away Spike will be after her, getting her back. No... I'm sure he will *gg*

Author's Response: Thanks for the 'hotness' support! LOL Yes, Spike's been keeping tabs on Buffy, but there's something he missed. In fact, there's something that Buffy knows about Xander that no one else in the world knows, but Xander...hmmmm wonder what it is. Buffy despises Xander for alot of reasons that are not tied to his line of work. She has more affection for Franklin who does not know the secret either. I will reveal the secret of Buffy's, through Spike and soon. I'm not going to drag that part out as I have just decided to replot the story line and add this to it. It's important to explain why Buffy dulls her emotional pain with pot and how Xander fits into it. Thank you so much for sticking with this story. spuf

I liked Spike's talk with Buffy. I think it's great he's so open and honest with his intentions. I loved Spike's closing lines. Should be interesting to see where things go from here in Spike and Buffy's relationship.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review. You know, I've always seen Spike as an upfront guy. Even in the show, when he tried to be sneaky it rarely succeeded did it? He seemed to always do better when he was up front. Remember, it was Angelus that was the mind game player; Spike like a full on brawl. His way was fists and fangs right from the start; not playing silly games like Angelus did. Franklin is kind of my take on a brother that is the conscious for Xander. He's like Xander, but yet, he's more humanistic then him. Maybe kind of like William's personna just simmered under the Spike outer shell. In the last chapter, I created a completely different plan for the rest of the story. Spike is going to be rudely shocked when he finds out about Buffy's habit and why she has it. Thanks again, spuf
