If your author note meant what I thought, yea, I thought Angel, I mean Liam, left a note to Buffy before his suicide mission, or something. Poor Liam... I always like a good Angel in Spuffy stories. It makes the story more beautiful that way.
Anyway, I really like your style. No lavishing long sentences, great paragraphings, etc. Every(and I mean every!) scene you tried to depict is so vivid in my mind, it's almost like "reading" a movie, ya know? =) Thanks for sharing.

OMG! You should have put up warnings that there will be B/A and S/X in the beginning! I'm trying to be diplomatic and think, hey, if it makes for good Spuffy later, it's okay, but honestly, this chapter kinda made my skin crawl after reading what Spike thought.
Still, the storyline seems interesting and I like the way your story flows. I just hope I won't have to give up reading this halfway through =

I just read this, as I found this site after this was completed. I have to say that I've never written a fic like this. I don't know what nationality you are, but I have to say that, as an American, I can't say that I understand the conflict there very well. In point of fact, since i entered college (2000) I can't say that I have heard anything about this conflict. I just have to say that this was an amazing story with an incredible backdrop. Great writing and, honestly, amazing story.

You definitely had me going, at the end of the last chapter--good job! Poor Buffy--so much heartbreak, so much guilt. I just hope she can bounce back from this. And re: the politics? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that shouldn't detract from the quality of your story. It's well written and that's what counts in my book, anyway.
