Awwww!  I wish you would finish your story.  It looks like at least, one more chapter could finish completely.   Please!

Great fic!!! Stumbled across it, don't know how I missed this one. Got to say, I HAD to bop on over to the ficathon page and read ch 9 since I didn't see it here yet. I never did find a large manip, but am really glad I got to finish up the story (tho' kinda sorry to see this one end) AND very glad I came across this one to read! Often, I avoid "Gift-ish" fics, but this one was very enjoyable.
Wow. Didn't expect anyone to ever reincarnate Glory (nothing againg Claire, but I think we were all glad to see Glory GO)...and the mini-toga with bangle bracelets was just priceless! I thought originally perhaps Glory wanted Buffy to arrive as a "backup ticket home" what with "Summers" blood and all, but that kinda fizzled. This did kinda catch the Scoobies at a particularly vulnerable point in their lives...perhaps Willow most of all. Tho', still don't think they'd have abandoned her...and Giles! Shame on his British Empire ass for not accompanying her! At least he was an experienced traveler....tho' it did allow for much more Clem interaction, and the segue into Clem tracking down Spike in Morocco (I guess I've enjoyed seeing Clem in tales even more lately since I found out what the actor really looks like (yummy too) and have read him written into a few human AU stories).
And this all allowed Spike to finally save the girl. And the totally save the girl, or at least keep her from having no reason to go on per se, with the mating. Interesting to write of it being a possible danger...Spike would, or should know, having been very well educated and probably the foremost expert with his 100 yrs of intense study on slayers...I wouldn't think there should be a prob, with slayers and vamps having a their demonic roots per se in common.
Figures the old medicine man/priest would simple be a descendant of the Shadow Men, and that the Watchers, even tho' it was Giles (surely without malintent) that led her to him. And also figures it was a medicine woman (which less heard of in white man's "myths of the dark continent" actually DO exist, as least in much non-Muslim(-ized) W. African culture), perhaps related to our later to be seen Guardians?, that would also know how to make things right between both the Universe and our blonde couple.
Much was made about the balances, but yet too many things didn't click together right...to me, it never did seem to click that joining essences together to kill Adam upset the balance leading to Buffy's death, followed by her resurrection bringing about the FE. What about Angel's bout with the FE? Was that conveniently forgotten by Joss et al? The FE already HAD ventured back out into the world and staked a big ole foothold.
Also glad for how you wrote Spike. Tho' a leetle crazy, and definitely having a few depressive issues due to being faced with his/demon's previous acts, it was good to see him definitely more functional, especially in a crisis situation. Glad to see it portrayed as William's conscience. Glad to see that without the influence directly of the Hellmouth-under-the-HS that he didn't lose all his marbles.

So Spike is still taunted from the voice he hears... good Buffy woke up and the voice stopped. And even better that Buffy did indeed what she promised Dawn, talked to Spike. Oh she's only dreaming. ~ I like the explanation why Buffy broke up with Spike, her own fears leading her to leave first. ~ Looking forward to the next part and I hope they'll get Dawn back safely.

You're too sweet and I'm more than happy to always help. I love Spike and the inner demon going at it in this chapy - brought out some harsh truths. Very emotional time for Spike as he tries to process Buffy's dream rambles and then his heartfelt promise. This is the tear jerker chapter, *sniffs*. Bravo sweety.
