MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This chapter is written absolutely wonderfully. I think I counted at 20 allusions within it and could draw rock from every single one of them. The thing, however, that I don't get with the teens of my age, is the whole "emo" concept (Although outwardly I may fit under the whole "emo" concept, with my open devotion to rock and clear, yet not outragously evident, anarchist attitude, even though I am in a "popular" group at school, even though popular has a much different meaning in Australia than America); most of these idiots wouldn't know depression if it hit them in the face, but maybe I've been grossly uninformed of what an "emo" is, however you have encaptulated an extreme empathy for these "outcasts"... I really can't get enough of this story

Wow.. I hate Spike so much you made me cry! So wonderfully written... how do you do that?

Gotta say... I hate these "outcasts" as much as I hate the "populars" in this story. Sure their music tastes show some sort of intelligence (in direct contrast to the popular hip-hop shit), but to go as far as to ruin somebody's home for pitiful revenge. Sure in Australia we have the same sort of segregation, however not to the spiteful extremes... I gotta ask is American schooling really like that? I thought it was just a mindless stereotype from crappy teen-flics and and after-school specials! That's enough of my ranting (you most probably think I'm a bitch... I am just curious...) I do however absolutely love your story (please ignore my previous curious nature if it upset you in any way). Spike is mean, Buffy is... well at first mean, now I feel very sorry for her... Angel is surprisingly adorable, Cordelia is wonderful, and Riley is just hilariously stupid! I must say I love the angst! I can't wait to read more!

Wow!!! I love how you just jumped right into the story instead of making people wait for his transformation.

i don't believe i only just, going to read your update of chapter 27, found ihadn't finished reading 26! i must've got called away, cos i remembersome, than not the poem! it's great, as always, the way you write, well, your're an inspiration, you really are, i love to read it slowly and enjoy the way you use language in your writing. another great update, as always!

Author's Response: Nice summary, LOL. Seriously, thanks for all your support. I somehow knew you would like the "with a suitcase" line, I don't know why. I think I did something similar to that before, and you like it then, too. I dunno about DSoTM; I'm kinda a one-fic guy.

I had to comment on that. I completely disagree with that. Spike can't justify the way he treated buffy. But buffy can't justify the way she treated Spike either. I don't care how bad of a home life she had. I had terrible things happen to me when I was a kid. But does that mean that it is ok for me to treat people just as bad. No, it isn't. It doesn't give me a right.

If buffy was such a great person she wouldn't have treated Spike the way she did. All he did was love her and she did him wrong. Not right and not something a great person would do. That is what I don't like. People always tend to hold Buffy like she some kind of saint.

I also hope spike doesn't take angel advice and be bad ass again. That isn't who he is. Who he really is William. At least I think that. Spike has always held on to William even when he was bad. William always linger there. Cause deep down that is who Spike is. Just my opinion afterall.

I would also be mad as hell at Angel for saying it is ok for Buffy to come. Angel knows that Spike and Buffy have problems. He really shouldn't have done that. Especially after taking my car.



Author's Response: I always liked "oooo" as a better name than "cocky," FYI. And I must say, I also like your comments because they are very honest. I don't think I agree with Spike's statement, here, either, at all, but I'm not writing what I'm feeling; rather, I'm writing Spike. And right now he's feeling, well, not feeling, he's empty because of what he did. He thinks he destroyed her, and because he doesn't have her and can't have her he thinks he destroyed perfection. I'm writing from his POV, you see. I don't condone torture for years, and I have not forgot; the premise of this story is that she was bad to him so now he's bad in general. I will not forget, either, and it will probably turn into a big part of the story because it is the premise. Again, if you are looking for Buffy as not a saint, look at seasons five and six canon and the plethora of season six fics on this site. Hell, even season four puts Buffy in a less-than-light place; she's basically in a passionless relationship with Riley because Angel told her to do that. If that isn't terrible and doesn't put her in a bad light, I don't know what is. I completely agree that Spike is not fully meant for badassery; however, I do think it is a *part* of his character. He is, above all, like you said, William, though. I've tried to tease that out throughout the story, that his inner William is there. And last, yeah, I'll clear up the whole Buffy coming thing next chapter. Thanks for commenting.
