LOVED the update, but the following had me in stitches:

He certainly didn’t want to hear about Mr. Broody the Great now that he’d had a taste of Buffy…it would make Spike as miserable as the bastard himself, and he might take up brooding just to avoid the whole mess.

Buffy rationalized in her mind that what she was about to do next was for the sake of everyone’s sanity. But when it came right down to it, she only wanted one good reason to slap Cordelia Chase.

Hell had even spat him back out, the thought causing Buffy to snort mirthlessly. He probably had tried to take over, and Old King Louie just didn’t seem the type to share.

“Oh no way buddy! You can’t order me around; I don’t worship the rose-strewn path that you tread upon like Buffy did! Oh poor Angel, cursed with a soul…Oh poor Angel, can’t sleep with Buffy cause she gave him a happy…Oh poor…ugh, you know what? I’m making myself sick with this crap. Let’s get this over with. I’m tired, I want to go back to L.A., and I want my Coach handbag!”

AND OMFA!!! Spike is blind??? Can we stop with kick-the-Spike, ALREADY? Let him be happy for a while, he didn't even get to enjoy Buffy almost killing the poof like he should have *pouts*

Author's Response: Heheh, I always wanted Buffy to slap Cordy in the series... so now I get to indulge in that little idea! And as I'm watching Angel season 1, I can so totally see Cordy hurling that little tirade at Angel. Can't stop with the kicking Spike's ass just yet hun... sorry :( - *cringes* it might even get worse? (please don't hurt me!)

So glad to see this update. Poor Spike! Blind now but at least his fears about Angel have to have abated. Love Buffy making that point to him and finally seeing Angel clearly!

I wouldn't say that Spike's fears about Angel have been laid to rest - there's more to come on that front - and Spike has always come 2nd to Angel on manny occasions, and he thinks this is just another one of those times. Well Die Herren never expected to fall in the hands of people like the soldiers, especially Riley. Normal people would have stopped and checked why Grausam didn't talk, Riley didn't, he had orders (missing vocal cords). Idiot.. Having the metal teeth fused together doesn't help to make them talk
