Mmmmh William doesn't like to be in the cabin. But he did what he could in his situation to annoy Buffy (at last that's what he went for).
If he would be willing William would have another job on board of the ship, training. But I don't think he'll like that.
Looking forward to find out.

I'm loving it so far. I'm feeling bad for my sweet, sweet William. He is having such a hard time right now. He is worried about him and his wife's safety. But his wife doesn't even care about him. That is so harsh. He is too good for her anyways. On top of worrying for their safety on a pirate's ship. He is trapped being in one area. I would so hate that. I can't feel like I'm trapped in one area. That would get too me big time. So, I feel William's pain there. Can't blame William for being the way he is since he is on a pirate's ship. It is good to read Buffy as a nice person but I hope that she isn't written saint like. Buffy is captain of a pirate's ship. I'm not saying that pirates are just mean people and monsters. But their not exactly saints either. Far from it actually. LOL They steal anything that they can get money for from other ships. I'm betting most pirates probably hurt or possibly kill to get what they want. Some pirates may captured people for ransom too. I don't think it was that long ago that I read some pirates keeping someone from ransom on the news. That is why I can't blame William for being scared of them. I just hope that he realizes that he is safe soon for his sake. It would be terrible for him to be trapped in one room. LOL I hope that William realizes that Cecily doesn't love him. I hope it doesn't take too long for William to trust Buffy. So, we can have our Spuffy. Something tells me that William already knows about Cecily but is in denial. Maybe, that is why he may have had a death's wish. Poor William. He deserves so much more. Maybe, something bad happens to Cecily at one point. I'm so terrible like that. I like the fight at the end of this chapter. They seem pretty equal in the fighting. Just like in the show. I always thought they were pretty equal in the fighting area. I will give the edge to Spike though in the show. I always felt that spike was a little better fighter on the show than Buffy. They seem pretty equal here as well. One last thing before I end this long review. I love the title. English Soldier that has Blue Eyes like the Ocean. What a beautiful way to describe Spike's eyes. He does have very beautiful blue eyes that you can get lost in. He also can express so much feelings with his baby blues.

I'm not very font of xx/other but it sounded interesting and I've read the first chapter.
I like the start of it and will continue to read I think. I like the way it was written, too.

Just wanted to say, "Great start!" I love period pieces of any kind, but swashbuckling is one to swoon for. And who can resist our man Spike/William. The poor stubborn dear... lol.

I loved Spuffy pirate stories especially when it is Buffy the captain and Spike who somehow manages to be on the pirate's ship. One of my favorite spuffy stories is And A Star to Steer Her By by Sadbhyl. I don't know if you ever read the story but you should read if you ever have the time. Buffy is the captain and captures Spike for ransom. Of course they end up falling in love. I read it many times. Another person on here was writing a pirate story where Buffy is the captain and Spike is taken aboard the ship. I was loving it but it hasn't been updated in a little while. I look forward to reading this and I hope you plan to continue with it. It was good of Buffy to rescue Spike and Cecily. I do find funny that when Buffy is made captain she is written as someone who still has a heart. When Spike is written as captain he is written as someone who is just mean and later changes. It would be nice to see Spike written as a nice captain for once. That is why I love the story And A Star to Steer Her By. Buffy isn't written as a mean captain but she isnt' written someone who is noble. I'm not sure if that is the right world, noble. But she is written as in between. Where William changes her and makes her become softer. So, this Buffy got on my nerves a little in the first chapter.. It was great of her to save their lives. But she should understand why they were afraid to go with her. She is a pirate. Pirates who steals from other ships and kills people who for it. Pirates who take people for ransom. She shouldn't be upset that William was afraid. She should understand why. I also feel bad for William when it comes to Cecily. He loves her but she doesn't I take it. Poor William. He probably does have a death wish. Since he probably has a broken heart. It could be why he wasn't eating. He didn't want to go on anymore. that is just so sad. I'm really looking forward to me. Can't wait to read the things that William can teach Buffy.
