I abolutely adored this. Love fully flawed Buffy and Spike trying to work out how to handle the other. Nice to see them being more mature and tackling their issues with words, and right away rather than playing (too many) more games. The banter was great; Faith's dialogue was especially good.

A couple of minor errors; for example, you have Spike mentioning "Kalistos" in an early chapter but I think you meant Kakistos, and in this chapter he refers to a "Fyral" demon but that should be Fyarl. Oh, and this page has a "next" link, but it leads to a "you do not have permission to access" message.

I'll be adding this to favorites, I forsee reading it many times!

Author's Response: Oops! Sorry! This is what happens when my betas leave me on my own with my stupid fingers. Don't know what to tell you about the "next" link, but I'll see if it's just a chapter misnumbered or something. Might be something unfixable until Pari is recovered and back on the site.

And it ends nicely, as it should. It's nice that they are so couply together. So it's Iceland in the sequel then. A big monster then. I wonder if he has a mother :-)

Awww... fake next chapter after it was all over. Like them riding off into the sunset to fight mystery demons in ice land. Does Spike maybe fancy himself slaying a yeti? Would love to find out what happens next, though the two of them as a two being fully established is the main point of all stories after all. :) Well worth it. Thanks for sharing!

Oh this was great. Drunk Buffy is so cute but I love that they didn't do anything they might regret.

Learning how to be them again, or more like a new kind of them. Love mixed signals when they actually bother to work it out. BTW... Say You Will has only been around since 2003. In the scheme of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, I'm not quite sure that that qualifies as "older than dirt." Granted, I don't think either one of them follows Stevie quite the way I do, Spike should know better. :) Love how you're using the song, though. Looking forward to more!

I did look up the song to be sure who wrote it, but I never noticed the date and just assumed it had been around a long time. You're right, Spike probably would know better - and so would Buffy, actually if she thought about it. It'll be an easy fix. :)

This first part felt so sad. Poor Amy. Now Buffy and Spike are talking but it looks like they need to do that a lot more.

I wouldn't mind if Faith used that knife of hers on that perv Smith. I think that a pedophile Watcher is something that is really, really plausible, *shudder*
