Awesome, yet again! The resolution Buffy made was almost sad, but it was only Angel. Big whoo. I also love Giles resuming his role as Buffy's father figure.

I love grown-up Buffy! You continue toi achieve an incredible sense of balance in this story. I think it's because all of the characters taht could grow up, have grown up. the notable exceptions are Angel and Willow, who have long had the capacity for self deception necessary to justify their misuse of power. Kennedy and Xander are now postivie forces (a major triumph of your creative skills, since I disliked them both so much!) Another really important chapter as Buffy finally accepts ber slayerness. Thanks and as always - looking forward to more. ;o)

I was so happy to see the chapter that I made myself late for work so that I could read it! I think one of the reasons I like this story so much is that you've given me a Buffy I can actually like again. Hell, I even like Kennedy a litttle in this one. I can't wait to see what happens with Carlotta next, how Angel will react, and please god, more SPUFFY! I can forgive you for forgetting about us if you update soon! (Who am I kidding - I forgive you anyway - just keep writing).

TNX for the update! I wonder what will happen with Charlotta / Spike, now bonded again throuhg the Sire/Childe thing. I'm onesided, i now. I just can think what it feels for Spike. I don't love Angel (being with Buffy either). You're right, he becoming more and more human, forgetting all the vampire thing he had before.

All I can say is that it was worth the wait. I love the depth that these characters have - Willow's desperation, Spike's hatred of forced love. You've even managed to make Agel compelling, and that is a sentence I never thought I'd type! More, more, please, please!

Oh wow....that was just wonderful. The whole tortured soul of Angel, the angst of Willow, the pain of Spike and Buffy. I think it was the best chapter yet. I'm so glad you finally posted!!!! *sighs dreamily* wow... I'm thinking a spike shaped reward is DEFINATELY on the horizon for you young lady!

Good chapter! Love to read more what happens next with Carlotta. And how Angel reacts. Silly man. Family is family. You can't change it so simply. Cordykitten

This fic is so good, I find myself looking every day for an update. Truly compelling! I love Carolotta's conflict, and wait with baited breath for the Angel meltdown and, as always, more Spuffy goodness! But, it's a testament to the story that I'm willing to wait. You have my total trust.

Another excellent chapter! The awakening of Carlotta is particularly affective; I've never read a description that works as well at capturing that surge of awareness - and the reaction to the slayer is really imaginative and explains a lot about how vampires react. It also makes me wonder what Spike really sees when he looks at Buffy, and how his essential nature may be different from most vampires. The dichotomy of Carlotta - wonderfully done. Buffy's growing separation from Angel works especially well, too, because he is essentially self-involved, so his rejection of Spike as kin is not too surprising and seems right in character. The juxtaposition with Buffy's conversation with Faith and Dawn is a great contrast. As always - I can't wait for more. Thanks!

I can't tell you how happy I was to see an update to this story. Your insight to the characters is so strong, and I can't wait to see what your turned slayer is like. Most other authors use this as a way to make Buffy and Spike live happily every after, but I think you are more correct in saying that it would represent an unsupportable conflict. And, yes, more Spuffy goodness, please!

I continue to adore this story. Every chapter sucks me right in, and I go happily. I really like the way you make me pay attention so that I can be sure who's point of view I'm seeing. I like it that Angel is patient and understands that the relationship between Buffy and Spike exceeds his comprehension, but he is willing to wait. Spike contues to grow in his complexity, which I love, as well as your mature, thoughtful, restrained and generous (?!?!? I never thought I'd be able to imagine Buffy as generous!). Thanks again for another great chapter.

I love Buffy being insecure but still being mature enough to realize it and not being vicious. I'm also way interested in what's gonna happen with Carlotta. I liked her and for sacrificing herself like that she should get a big reward....not a spike shaped one of course but a big reward no less ;) Can't wait for more!!!

Great plot development! What will the next three days bring while we wait for Lotta to rise? Will Spike feel guilt and seek consolation from Buffy? Will Angel confront Buffy about her feelings for Spike? You have me on pins and needles -- please update soon -- or even faster!

Holy crap this is good. It's riveting, and the characters are verry well drawn, and you are an amazing writer. In other words "holy crap, this is good". And I don't mind waiting for the spuffy as long as its not too long a wait, and there's lots of it.

I continue to be captured by this story. I couldn't quite figure out the last chapter so I decided to wait and see what was going on. Clever twist, turning Carlotta. I still don't quite follow the logistics of the process - but I don't care, either! What a mess. I'm still very glad that Buffy is being loyal to Spike. Your Xander is very convincing, since I don't think he ever learned from his experiences. Willow will pay, I'm sure. Poor Spike - I love his coping skills. Looking forward to more.
