Oh definitely not a cop out, well worth the wait in chapters. I certainly hope your muses are kind and and grace us with more of your new universe and 16 yr old Buffy and Spike! I'm sorry to see your story end, but there's always inspiration for sequels, grin! Especially if your muses are pesky enough, lol... This is by far one of my favorite stories. I don't blame you for ending it there- otherwise, you'd be covering every event in the following seasons, and dealing with the ramifications of everything else would just be hard to write (I think). I'm happy she's got her Spike back, and I think it was a really sweet ending:)

And that self centered Angel... I really hope he's put that claim business together too. I loved the really big fight between them, too. Shades of the Angel season 5 episode in the opera house. And we know if it really was to the death, Spike would so win the fight for the love of Buffy. Really awesome chapter. Maybe her birthday isn't so bad after all. :) Update soon!

I absolutely LOVED this chapter, wicked grin! Buffy's comment about being on the way to happyland was priceless! Loved Spike's response of, "yeah I know, shut up Spike" too, was very comical. I could actually see each character breathed to life! Love it, can't wait to see where Buffy and Spike pick up and when Angel realizes Spike is the one that claimed her...
