Hey Rosie,
I just read Learning Curve. It was a great , bittersweet, and hopeful story. You have definately got the tone of the show. I feel like this is what was going on when the camera cut away, unable to show us more but let us use our imaginations. Joss was always about not letting us have the thing we most wanted or if he did then he took it away. You know the metaphor for "Real Life" The thing that I love about your writting is that you let us have it back. Thank you for sharing!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Jennifer

Wonderful, wonderful pace--it starts off running and then starts running faster. A cut to the chase pell mell but stil with coherent pools of reverie. I love that Spike going after what he wants brings him to a space of admiting where he is when he gets there. He wanted to be inside Buffy and finds that also means being inside her soul. And when one touches something that bright there is no going back. Not to mention painting with words the vibrant hues of 'ahem' sex as a rock 'em sock 'em force. You get us, as the reader right inside the minds of both characters and we feel the urgent earthy need to crack their bodies together. Nature does this (I think) to pull two opposites like man and woman or Buffy and Spike together in a chaos theroy of creation to make something entirely new. We see their thoughts before the cosmic crack and after and feel, actually feel how this act has altered them both forever. It's like nature almost forcing people againest their will to become better through the other half. Sex the great magnet and Cupid giggling. Great job. Keep it up. (so to speak)

Author's Response: I am bowled over by your review. Glad my intention shined through, to show their hearts as well as their desires. It's what I love about them as a couple - earthy passion combines with purity of love. The dichotomy of the human heart. It's holy and sensual, light and dark - all things in balance. Just as I think love should be. "All acts of Love and Pleasure are my rituals..."

This whole fic was really sweet! It was very true to their situation as a whole and was incredibly well-written. Loved the 'brave little toaster' line, too LOL

Author's Response: Wow, thankyou so much for the high praise. I really appreciate the feed back and will work hard to top this one with my next fic. I wanna make ya a fan ;D

I like how she's trying so hard to not give in to her desires while Spike's having a grand old time LOL

Author's Response: Thanks - it was really fun to write. I love how Spike can be naughty and romantic all at the same time - my kinda guy. ;)
