mt first fanfic
Buffy and Angel had dated for two years and have a two month old daughter. One day Angel decided to leave.

He said goodbye from the edge of the front porch like shed been some casual friend

" Your leaving.Why" asked Buffy

"He said your better off without me im not what you need"
Like her momma had said about him

Angel than hugged Buffy and got in the car

He started the car pulled out of the drive didnt waste anytime looking back. She watched him go thinkin a stranger would show more compassion than that

Buffy didn't cry as she watched Angel leave while kissing Dawn on the forhead.

She could've cried but she didn't have time she had a baby to feed a ink blanket to find to rock their littl one to sleep she couldve laid in bed for hours giving misery the power but she didn't have time

Five Years Later

Five years have passed since Angel left. She hired Anya to baby-sit Dawn and works at the local highschool as a guidance counslor

She got a sitter she got a job cause she had a promise to keep her day was a factory and evening survival a night was exhaustion and sleep sometimes she felt life was passing her by and watching was all she could do her friends said you gotta get out of the house and maybe youll meet someone new

"Buffy you need to get out more"
Willow im fine Dawns more imortant"
"She needs a father"
"She has ballet, piano lessons and t-ball, shell get a dad when it happens"
Willow sighed knowing she wont win the argument

she couldve tried but she didnt have time she had a five year old to feed she had ballet class, piano lessons and t-ball little league she couldve laid awake for hours giving lonely nights the power but she didnt have time

While going shoppping Buffy got a flat tire and pulled it in a crowded parking lot

Not time where she would find the time to trust a man again not time for that flat tire a crowded parking lot and then

Seeing a woman having trouble with her car Spike heads over
"Having trouble"
"Yes i got a flat"
"Need help luv"
"Yeah Thanx"
"Whats your name luv"
"Buffy yours"
"Spike"

Spike notices something in the backseat
Not time to just have coffee with the man who got her tire fixed

*should I ask her* thought Spike*
*He is handsome*thouht Buffy

she was thinkin gosh hes handsome when he asked
"Do you have kids"

Buffy looked shocked and scared that he would leave if she tells him the truth because she is starting to fall for him real fast. So Buffy made a decision

she couldve lied but she didn't have time

Buffy just smiled and

"All she said was shes five"

Spike smiled back because he is faliing for this blonde beauty that is sittin in front of hime so he tells her along witj a pick-up line

He said I saw the car seat I love kids does she have your eyes

Buffy smiled and they talked longer glad that the thought of her with a child wont be a problem

and they sat and talked for hours giving destiny its power

Spike reached across the table to grab Buffys hand which she accepted.

She couldve been afraid to fall in lovethat night but she didnt have time

Spike became an everyday fixture in the lives of the Summer women. Buffy was never happier and so in love with Spike than she ever thought possible. Dawn loved having Spike around. Buffy and Dawn both had Spike hooked around their finger but Spike wouldn't have it any other way. Spike was the perfect father figure for Dawn and a perfect mate for Buffy according to Buffys friends.
*Thank goodness I didn't have time* thought Buffy who was sitting between Spikes legs with Dawn right next to her the three of them watching the fireworks going up in the sky

she could've been afraid to fall in love but she didnt have time

He said goodbye from the edge of the porch
Like she'd been some casual friend
He said "You're better off with out me
I'm not what you need"
Like her momma had said about him
He started the car
Pulled out of the drive
Didn't waste any time lookin' back
She watched him go
Thinkin' even a stranger
Would show more compassion than that

She could've cried
But she didn't have time
She had a baby to feed
A pink blanket to find
To rock their little one to sleep
She could've laid in bed for hours
Giving misery the power
But she didn't have time

She got a sitter, she got a job
'Cause she had a promise to keep
Her day was a factory and evening survival
