She could lead him anywhere because he will do anything for her out of his love. Buffy was just using him though.

She knows that everything is different. She sometimes wishes it were the same as before, but it hasn’t been since that first night with Spike because he made her feel alive again.

It may have been “wrong,” but it was right because it was what she needed. At the times she was with him everything had felt right, though in an odd way it was.

Buffy always left as quickly as she could after and Spike wished she would just stay there with him, just sleep and be there, to trust him.

The last time, she had been there when they were woken up by Riley. She had stayed there and slept next to him on the sarcophagus.

Neither really wants the other to leave. She would always tell him to, but she just pushed him away because they all leave her when she cares about them. Buffy really wished that he would never leave. Spike knew she would pull away from him more if he asked her to stay.

It gave them something that they both needed and they knew it. That’s why she came back to him. When they were together she had nothing about her death when she was with him. Maybe someday, she will return his love.
