Author's Response: I didn't mean to imply that it couldn't be seen. It's just dark and there's a lot of trees, and Spike is driving fast to try to lose it. But the beast can definitely be seen. *breathes a sigh of relief* Oh Good! Good good good! Buffy's safely back with her clan, and soon-to-be mate, Spike. You know, I really love the way you make the whole vampire world a little more rigid with rules, customs to follow and ranking. I've read enough fics without any of those rules in it and this one is like a breath of fresh air (OMG I'm quoting Paula Abdul). It's a very nice change.
