Summary: “… you try to be with them, but you always end up in the dark ...with me”
As a freshman entering UCLA Buffy Summers was beautiful, sweet, and innocent… until she was introduced to William Aurelius known to LA as ‘Spike’, one of the leaders of LA’s shadiest upper class gangs; the Vampires. From illegal business to drugs, to owning night clubs, the Vampires run LA and with his influence Spike is accustom to getting anything he wants. When Buffy and her friends go dancing in Spike’s main club Shadows, Spike becomes entranced with the beautiful blonde; he becomes fixated on having her. Step by step, Spike draws Buffy into his own dark world, convincing her that she belongs in the darkness with him and inadvertently falls in love with her, deciding never let her go. Two years later, Buffy finally wakes up to face the music and decides she wants no more of the Vampires’ dark world. Spike refuses to give up his world or Buffy, but Buffy leaves LA and returns to live with her mother in Sunnydale. She hides her past from her friends and lives a normal life for about a year…but when Spike finds her, secrets are revealed and lives will never be the same again.

So far what I've read which is up to this chapter I've liked.
You have clearly explained every myth (whether it be a real myth i wouldn't know) with great skill in your writing. You clearly show Spike's pain and unlike most stories you're not rushing to the fact of getting to Buffy. You are creating a true story. I can't read any further right now, but I'll be back to read some more. I'm dying to know what other trials he comes up against and once upon them what fears of Buffy's he'll have to face.
I like Larry, if he wasn't the one guarding our fave vamp to his love I would probably love him even more. Good job, interesting story line. 5 stars.

Aw it's so sad. To think she's been there for hundreds upon hundreds of years. Although truly in the real world it wouldn't seem like that but you can tell she's not Buffy anymore. Not now at least, and it's sad. Good job at writing that. Just thinking about Spike's three hundred years at the time of reading it, it was painful to think about the possibility of time for her. It would be interesting to see an insight into her thoughts of the time of these years. As she slowly forgot her family and friends, her name, her 'death'.
It's understandable as to why Spike let the 3rd rule slip. I mean you emphasized the other two so much in the story (which is good) to where even I forgot what the third rule was. As much as I don't want the story rushed I hope they find the true SOLACE soon he's seeking for them and getting out of there. Hell even I would want to see Buffy beat Spike up because then that would mean she's Buffy again.
Summary: Dawn asks Buffy to come and visit her in Rome and Spike can't make it. Buffy and Spike make a bet that one of them won't be able to go without calling the other for a whole week. Pure fluff.

I love this story, I really do.
I like to see stories that reflect the opposite of season six buffy and Spike.
This story almost reminds me of the infamous love life of Carrie and Big from sex and the city. I love it!

I loved the twist on this. Most people just go straight for the cliche ending of him turning her and they living happily ever after especially in stories where they first meet but in this story, especially in the wish verse Spike had no ties to Buffy. She wasn't some extroidinary slayer because she hadn't done anything great in the wish verse, and he didn't have the time to love her or have reason to. Yeah in the show it was obvious Spike was attracted to her at first sight, but just like in your story it was all about intrigue and sexual attraction at first sight, no doubt if this situation happened in the regular canon the first time they ever met he'd kill her and go back to Drusilla. Great story, loved it. Probably the only one shot I've ever truly been awed by.

It wasn't a worry about Spike's response to Buffy's declaration being believable, it was a matter of Buffy's response to Spike's lack of. I love that you didn't turn her insecure or mad because he didn't say it. I loved that she was confident enough to know, and was able to read him enough to not doubt his feelings for her.
