How very sad-- crying on the kitchen floor. Here's hoping she can put a voice to those thoughts to help him see her reasoning. Maybe that will help him to be patient, even if it isn't what he wants, because he could see it's what she needs to do for her own self-esteem. Interesting and useful literary device-- get them to focus on something other than themselves! Great update. I wasn't sure where this was going; you know, since I was hoping for the freaky hall sex again . ;) I wonder how Buffy's mom will react to their very obvious feelings for each other? Whew-- Is is hot in here, or is it just me (looks around nervously, fanning self)? Lusty William is one seriously hot property!
"William grabbed her arm and tugged her into his arms, kissing her voraciously.'I want you so much,' he told her raggedly. 'I can’t stop, Buffy, God help me, I can’t stop…'” Man, I turned into serious goo just *reading* this stuff! How your character managed to resist would have taken some *serious* restraint!
Now, pericarditis can actually be very serious and deadly-- just a heads-up. Especially some of the viral or fungal ones-- if it doesn't clear up, it can cause heart failure. But seriously good chapter. I loved the way William fell apart in Joyce's arms-- so sweet.
