I loved this chapter. Spike was so patient and sweet with Mrs. G and then with Dawn and Buffy. I wasn't feeling very sympathetic towards Buffy (because she was using Spike), but then you neatly switched to her POV and I couldn't help but feel bad for her, as sapped of energy and incredibly stuck in a bad situation as she is.

"Wanna go to the park with me? We could run around a lot. Get really tired." --haha.

I've been reading this story and lurking and I just wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying it. It's fun and fluffy. :)

Ohhh shoddy council security! I hope Ben doesn't get in too much trouble. Poor Catarina, Marguerite, Mary Jane and Sophie. The council has a long history of murder on its apparently nonexistent conscience. Things don't look good for Buffy and Spike.

Author's Response: The problem with the Council is that they always saw Slayers as tools to be used. They probably didn't even see it as murder. But it is. I have a feeling Buffy will force a conscience into the bastards. Thanks.

This is a great story. I resisted reading it despite seeing recommendations everywhere because I hate to get caught up in something that may never be finished. But it was worth the read when I finally succumbed to curiosity and read it.

I'll add my plea to the others' in the hope that you haven't abandoned this fic permanently. If, sadly, you have, thank you for the riveting chapters that are available. :)

I really do know how bloody frustrating it is when the sodding writer doesn't update, honest, I do. But I really will finish this - especially as it is only the first part of a trilogy of stories - but can give you no definite timescale. My apologies for that. “Great.” she said, closing the door again. - This line made me giggle.

“Ants have monuments named after you because they think you’re a member of their kind.” - as did this one.

Sad that they're not together in the end, well, not really together. I loved Ladyhawke :)

Awww at Spike refusing to let anyone but Buffy invite him back in. That's respectful. Aww again at Buffy actually relenting and doing it.

Poor Dawn and Buffy and of course, Joyce. So much to deal with.

So sweet that she sought out Spike for help, even though she did it because she thought she was mad at him. Love that he brushed her hair for her, such a tender thing to do.
