God, you really freaked me out with this. I thought I had figured out the stalker, but this chapter threw me for a loop. The story is just great so far and so different from the norm. I am usually not into the dark fics much, but your writing is amazing. Keep up the good work.

I actually read this the day you put it up, but had a busy weekend and I wanted some time to let it all marinate...For some reason, this line “Go if that’s what you want. I’m alright with it and besides, it’s not like we’ll be hanging out together or anything. Okay?” did not sit well with me. Our girl is still in complete and total denial. She also seems to need to learn that just because someone is in need of money does not mean that they are uneducated in the finer things of life. I did feel hopeful upon reading her response to his question of when they could talk again “When you’re ready to tell me everything, Spike... William. Whenever you’re ready.” Our boy really needs to get a clue that no woman (at least no sane woman) will trust her heart to a man that is keeping her in the dark about aspects of his life. I do love your characters, people are flawed and make mistakes, kind of like real life, but not so much that it does not allow you to succesfully escape into the fantasy. Keep up the great work!! P.S. Maybe reading your sexy fics can get my muse jumpstarted again.

Yes, Buffy was trying to be mature about the situation when she said that to him, but in her own way made it clear that she needs her space/time. It's really not so much that she doesn't think he's educated or anything, Lorne told her he was, but her surprise over things is well, just that, surprise. She never guessed the extent of his intellect. She knows in her heart that she cares and that she wants to give him a chance, thus the reason for her answer. William is, of course, being very dumb in his decision not to come forward. He'll learn his lesson, much sooner than you think, that's all I can say without giving too much away. LOL, I do hope your muse gets active for you sweety, they can be soooooooo stubborn sometimes. THanks for the review, hugs and kisses.
