Wowowowow! That was some REALLY good stuff! I think I've read most of the responses to this challenge and your fic is definitely my favorite one so far. I even kinda wish that this wasn't a one shot. I would have loved to read about all the ust in the office before they got together and find out about all the drama that would have happened after they got together. Then again I do like that it was a one shot because one shots are like instant gratification, you know? Anyway, the point of this long review is to inform you how GOOD you are at doing this stuff. This story rocked so keep writing and update all your other fics soon! BTW I typed this whole review on an iPhone so my labor should prove how much I loved this story =D

Fearing what the Council will do, Spike, forgotten and ignored by her friends, steps in. Will he be able to reach the Slayer when no one else could? Will he be able to keep her out of the hands of the Council and away from her ‘helpful’ friends? How much heartbreak, guilt, and failure can one girl stand before her indestructible spirit finally resigns the fight and gives up hope?

I like it so far :). I've always wanted to read another step daughter fic ever since Nautibitz's Older. I have high hopes that this will be another favorite. Can't wait till the next chapter!
