Your writing and characterizations are both amazing as always. Something about your stories makes them both engrossing and heartwarming at the same time.

This story is a bit of downer though (especially compared to the Best Man, which I loved) because it is not at all fun for me to watch Angel and Buffy stay together as long as this.

It's also definitely not fun to watch him take her for granted, and then see her just accepting it.

Spike's angst makes my heart go out to him, but at the same time I can't help wondering why he keeps pursuing women who are technically taken -- that's a little hard to respect.

Oh well, at least Angel is absent a lot; I wish Buffy would wake up and see that someone who spends so much time away, and who avoids her friends, can't really be in love with her.

Lovely! It's practically perfect as is, but a second part, where we discover how and why Spike has returned (and what exactly he is now) would be interesting too. Of course, I'll be satisfied if you just decide to leave it as is; it's just that it raised some questions (as you no doubt intended!) Bravo!

Author's Response: maybe I will, I\'ve been working on finishing up my old WIPs but this one came out of nowhere and I had to write it. Thank you for the suggestion and the awesome review :)
