Oh my.. it started to good.. well, even if Spike did feel awkward, but in the end it was bittersweet. These too are on at the begin of something new, still they fear to go the new street. Why do men always run away? I hope he doesn't do anything stupid. I guess leaving to LA isn't the smartest thing and that will really hurt her. She probably thinks that she did something wrong. If he thinks it's so wrong, he might not even come back until she's legal. Of course, she might have someone else by then. Stupid Spike is all I have to say, I mean her parents don't even seem that against it. I have to admit that's a bit strange though. Anyway, it was a good chapter and I hope he comes to his senses. I liked his frustration during dinner. Although, when my friend called me a whore even if he was kidding, I didn't take it as well as Buffy did. I smacked him hard and made sure he never called me that again...lol! I happen to take offense to that. Hope you have more soon=)

Congratulations on your nomination! I really enjoyed the running commentary of Spike's thoughts thoughout the dinner, and the Spuffy kiss even if it did end on a sad note. Oh, I've got this great story about my daughter, from today, but I can't post it in this. I think you'd appreciate it, Panta, but well...it's kind of not on topic?
Anyway, I like this story and I'll tell you why...
I was 17 when I first met up with my first husband. He was 20. Now, in California, at least now in the PC world? That's questionable.
I understand that in Europe, the British Isles and Canada, 16 is an of age consent for a female. Here in the states? It's 18. Anyway, at the time I met and became engaged to my soldier boy, it was hardly blinked at...the age thing.
Okay, so let's be fair here; age is a number, we get that. The maturity of the mind is a different matter. Buffy is at least 20 something in this fic (in her mindset) and I'm beginning to wonder if Spike isn't a bit closer to 18?
I hope Spike doesn't do something totally sophmoric in LA!
