excellent chapter! love Willow and Fred's revenge fetish - but *eep* for angsting Buffy - just hope Spike doesn't dive in with the wrong thing to say and make it ten times worse

Author's Response: ...it might not be Spike, but there is trouble coming. ;) Thanks for reviewing, sweetie!

Awe, protective friends *gg* Good to have them. And it's good that Fred is there now :) Loved the chapter, all the girls talk (marriage) made Buffy think... Well she still has time and hasn't decide anything now.

Author's Response: Thanks. =) And yep, she does still have time...we'll see what she does with it, lol.

Great chapter. Really well written. I'm glad that Buffy isn't ignoring the obvious complications of their relationship and what it means for their future. It shows her maturity. Looking forward to their dinner date.

Author's Response: Thank you! And yeah, I wanted to show that neither of them is stupid enough to just rush into this...for the most part. *g*

Loved the chapter.
Hope Buffy will be strong enough to handle this.
I understand the age thing is a big problem but I hope they can solve it.
in Finland it is legal for over 16 year old to be intimate with someone who's also over 16 but I understand how it could cause them so much trouble.

Author's Response: *nods* The US has some of the more prudish laws regarding age of consent...they'll work it out, but it'll take some doing. Thank you for reviewing!

Read this yesterday, but didn't have time to review then. I'm doing it now, so you don't think I've abandoned you :P

If she's strong enough for this really seems to be the question. Although I don't think Spike will propose to her, they really have to fight to be together. He is a lot older and may want to settle down and she's still so young. (Although some may not think so, in Sweden you can get married at 16 if you get an approval from the king (?!) *lol* ...the benefits of living in a monarchy *rolls eyes* sorry, off topic)

Loved the talk between Buffy and Willow in the beginning, and I agree with Buff: Willow is spending too much time with Faith! She's gettign real tough! *lol*

And isn't Hank just the typical father with his "no sex" *lol*

Author's Response: *dances* You know, I kinda love your for the thoughtful reviewing. You rock. *picks you up and spins you around* And LMAO at the Sweden bit. Buffy and Spike are definitely going to go through some rough spots before they get their happy ending...but they will. ;) And hee, protective!Willow amuses me--probably why I write her that way.

Thanks so much for the lovely feedback, hun! ♥

Ahhh..I just wish that we could send this story forward to when Buffy turns 18 so we can cut with the legal mumbo jumbo.. I know that it's illegal..and No I do not want my daughters to be with a man 10 years older at age 16...but this is a FICTIONAL story about BUffy and Spike..SO let's talk about the emotional implications of this rather than the legal side of it..ya know?

Poor Buffy..She seems so conflicted right now...For every positive thought she has, it seems to be followed with a negative feeling. I think if Spike understands that she is so conflicted he won't push her..Right? lol Looking forward to your next update!

Author's Response: Oh, there'll be emotional implications...part of the point of this fic is to explore why those laws are in place...and yep, Buffy and Spike are both conflicted. Thank you for the feedback!

Oh, Buffy, try to be strong enough for this, please!
I'm not totally on board with this underage Spuffy thing, I am in the US (we're really pretty prudish you know!)
Anyway, I do love Spuffy and they seem to care for each other so. So......
I'm so glad your'e updating this story so much!

Author's Response: Oh, I know--I live in the US. ;) And thank you! Glad you're enjoying it.

I liked Buffy conversation's with Willow and Fred. Willow's line about Clairol owning Buffy's soul was very funny. Fantastic update!

Author's Response: Thanks! And LOL glad you liked the Clairol line.

Well, it is technically a crime for them to get frisky, at her age, in CA. We have some of the strictest stautory rape laws in the entire country. If a girl has her shoes off while alone in a car with a male of age, he can be charged with statutory. So frankly, they're really lucky that someone hasn't made a formal complaint to the cops over this.

There's nothing wrong with Buffy having doubts at her age. It would be better if they held off until she's older, anyway. What teenager is really prepared for a grown-up relationship? You're just not.

Author's Response: Thanks for the information. I'm aware of California's laws; where I live they're not quite so strict, but I DO live in the US. Buffy is definitely not ready for the relationship to progress...but unfortunately, that doesn't mean it won't.

Oh, she better be because if she hurts Spike, Buffy is the one that's going to be beaten with a shovel. Just kidding, but I really hope there's some fluff in store.

Author's Response: LOL. There's not much fluff for awhile, but stuff won't suck entirely. =) Thanks for the feedback!

"As far as Buffy was concerned, reason could go do some very nasty and explicit things to itself." LOL!! That was excellent. Loved the chapter. Fred is so great. Very much looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Hee, glad you liked it! Thanks. ♥

I really enjoy this story, Buffy's characterization and her interactions with Spike. I am however having a problem with tremendous deal everyone is making of the age difference. There is the question of the legal age of consent but as that is 16 in most states it's not really an issue. My mom was 18 and my dad 35 when they started dating and they never had any problems. Admittedly that was about 30 years ago and people might be more inclined to harass people about an age difference now but 17 years is a lot larger gap than 10. Also May December? Anna Nicole Smith and her dead husband were May December marrying at 22 and 93 respectively. Buffy and Spike in this story are more April May. This may just be my concern at being lumped in with Spike as December which is just too frightening to contemplate. So it's sounds like I'm being really critical but I really don't mean to be, it's just when I was sixteen I would have loved having a sexy older boyfriend. I can't imagine why Cordy and Harmony are supposedly grossed out instead of jealous.

Author's Response: You make a good point--but one of the big problems with Buffy and Spike's relationship right now is her age. There's a huge maturity difference between 16 and 18, and Buffy might not be ready to deal with her relationship yet. Cordelia and Harmony might actuallyt be jealous, but they know it will hurt Buffy to be "grossed out", so that's how they act.

Thank you for your feedback!

AHA! No Spike in this chapter either! You're doing this to torture me aren't you? Well, stop coveting that pie, you can't have any til I can have some Spike! :P

Good chapter, even without Spike. lol

PS: What does this mean?

"stuffed animals shredded in the wash"

Cos that sounds a little more than icky....

Author's Response: You know, when stuffed animals get too worn out, how they sometimes just fall apart when you run 'em through the washing machine? That's what it means.

If Spike is sans clothing, do I get double the pie? *innocent smile* Thanks for reviewing!
