I thought this was well crafted and this story treated some difficult issues with a careful and thoughtful approach. Took what could have been an icky, squicky thing and made it lovely. Thanks. (Though I'd love to beta it to get rid of the errors I caught.)

I cannot believe I just sat here and read it all in one sitting, but I did! And it was a true roller-coaster ride. A real thrill to read. I felt their emotions along with them; it was so well written. *sniff*

And I loved the happy ending! This is truly an amazing fic. :)

I was hesitant to read this story because of the topic. The idea of Spike with Joyce was just too strange for me to fully digest. I eventually pushed myself into reading it because I always end up loving anything that you write. I certainly enjoyed this story too, but I never did get over the ick factor of picturing Joyce and Spike together in "that way." It was a great story though and Im glad I persued it. I was soooo glad that you went out of your way to define his love for Joyce as a different sort of love and of a nurturing sort and I was very grateful he had said that Buffy was his real true love and that he wished he had met her first. That helped me cope with it all somewhat. Thanks for taking risks with your stories and being brave enough to take the characters in new directions.

It's taken me three nights, & 2 very yawnful days due to note being able to stop reading to do it, but I was determined to finish reading this wonderful story ASAP.

Brat, girl! You have outdone yourself. As much as I absolutely love every single one of your stories, this is the most amazing, wonderful, awe-inspiring, *insert any other superlative adjective here*. Well-written as usual. It is so real. Felt like I was right there in their heads, and their hearts, with them. I don't know how you did it, but even the pace of the story added to the reality of your tale. Thanks for sharing your gift yet again.

Aww... The ending was so sweet! Now I know why I always jump to your story first whenever I see alot of completed fics updated.

I love this fic so far, I do, but something was always niggering at the back of my mind regarding this story.

“When I met Joyce, she gave me some direction, she gave me some guidance, and she gave some unconditional love that I needed.” This got me to realise that your fic is in some parts similar to Nautibitz's Older, but I guess that's the only way such a storyline can go, right? Any other way would be unacceptable and not realistic.

I certainly don't mean that you got your idea from her tho. I really find your fic intriguing. It's funny how the mind works aye? Thanks for sharing! :)

You are so gifted, it's been such a great experience to follow and share S & B's journey, their emotions, their problems and the way they overcame everything to be together.

i thought this story was wonderful. i really enjoyed it. i just can't figure out why someone would be so rude as to insult you for writing it.
