Still a good story, but there are a number of plot holes in this chapter:
1) Clem says he has never heard of Jansen, but at the end of chapter 10, Jansen's minion had talked to Clem about him when Clem was at his friend Aaron's apartment. Clem ran to the crypt in chapter
11 to tell Spike and Buffy.
2) Anya says that "no earth magic" affects Jansen, but then Willow, along with Tara and Anya, are able to use earth magic against him. Would have been better to say that he is *nearly* impervious to earth magic rather than entirely unaffected. I get that you're showing that Willow has become stronger than even Anya could predict, but then that should be made clear before Willow succeeds... either Anya, Tara or Willow should explain that what they're doing (or what they just did) will make them able to override Jansen's protection from earth magic, or that they're using Salano magic or something.
3) Clem shouldn't be the one telling Xander how much Giles hates Spike... Clem wasn't even at the Magic Box, Xander knows better than Clem does at this point in the story.

Other than those little things, the story is really good... glad Jansen's dead.

It makes sense that the Council wants to get rid off Buffy because she thinks too much on her own.
Mmmmh Joyce has a plan. That's what you meant in your answer to my last comment, huh? Joyce is taking action.
I didn't expect Angel to be so helpful; but this one has his own life, build without Buffy. Ah he convinced him indeed. And Giles inner watcher won with the new opportunities for him.
Retirement for Buffy? What will that mean for her? Being a normal human? Even if Spike will love his Buffy with or without her strength Buffy will have a hard time to keep up with him. They could get hurt even if he didn't want to do that.
That question is open for me. Otherwise? Enjoyed it, sometimes more than other times when you had me really, really, really worried *gg*.

God i hate that. So Spike loses himself in bottles and fighting, while Buffy loses herself in fucking other men.

For once i'd like to see Spike as the person that sleeps around trying to forget while Buffy remains a freaking nun.

Author's Response: Hi babes - you are actually quite right. But I'm not sure if it's my story you're reading and reviewing, because Buffy did stay a nun, and Spike got on with his life, determined not to come back. It was Dawn who asked him to return, and it was Spike who didn't want to see Buffy.

Im so glad you have Joyce taking charge and dealing with the imbecile Giles, she laying into him but good, and Dawn also ,so glad she speaks her mind and the Spuffy lovin is fantastic, you always do that so well. I think the culprit is Angel and not the council ,but we shall see. Thanks for the update Gilly it was fab.
