For all it's claims of being a feminist show, Dreamweavers story actually is. As overlord of SD, Buffy rules with justice and compassion.
Spike gets respect, Buffy gets happiness and they are In Love. Beautiful.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! Joss was so fixed on demons being evil even though there was Lorne and Clem to show otherwise, and so he never gave Spike a break. I thought Buffy would make a great overlord and that she and Spike absolutely belong together. I'm so glad you liked it!

i absolutely luved this!! i really liked how buffy acted at first to grab spike's attention instead of letting him wait for years to realise what he felt. i also liked how you dealt with angel and dru in the end. i only wish there was more... is there a sequel?

I don't know why, but about half the time I have to put my reviews in twice before they take. Sometimes I don't bother w/ the 2nd time. This has only been happening this month. Anywho- loved the story; can't believe it's over. Hope you have more of what Angel does next. Will he take care of Dru for 100 years & then it will be Buffy's turn as Minder? Loved it that Buffy told Angel what she was up to: I'm going to claim him".

Like the way Buffy got Jenny to tell Angel about the curse-breaker. Also, that Jenny was suspicious, as she should 've been,after all. Enjoyed how Spike just helped himself to Buffy's secret training room - I know they'll get caught, eventually, but it's such fun now.
The sex was smoking. Surprised mne that she got him to call her by name so soon. It was a good move, him believing her almost immediately. Natural that he would; he's been around the block, er, the WORLD, a few times after all.

I use it too often, but it seems to me the ultimate commitment, proof to both of them that neither of them will ever abandon the other. I'm so glad you like it! And Dru really was Angel's responsibility, which he ducked. I thought it was only fair that he should carry the load now.

There was Buffy in canon, trying to hide the handcuff marks on her wrists out of shame - and there was I thinking, 'But what's so wrong about that?' So I decided to show how much fun it could be. :D

Hard for Spike to get around the fact that he is attracted to he slayer.... Good to see he's not ready to kill Buffy.
Angel likes his girls innocent, huh? He fell in love with her when he saw her at the school with the lollipop.
Oh Jenny. Didn't expect to see her / Buffy taking Angel to see her. It means less death now.
Even Spike isn't read to hear Buffy saying she loves him, he trusts her already as he acknowledged :)

Angel sometimes seems to have a father figure complex, what with him always calling the shots with Buffy.

Back to your story: Being older has another advantage for Buffy: She knows what she wants but won't so easily do what the others want any longer if she doesn't want to. And she can look at what Angel said on a different angle.
*grins* that was mean, bringing Spike to laugh again. But so funny *gg* I had a smile in (on?) my face, when reading that.
If you embrace the sun, you'll burn, Spike ~ Very true, especially in Buffy's case but she tries to change the outcome of that.
And knowing what will happen is an advantage you can't count enough.
Oh! Good twist :) The oath sanglante I like it a lot. Unexpected too. Buffy did her homework.
