Spike keeping quiet, not wanting to upset Dawn helped focus his feelings for both her and Buffy. Spike wants to do right by Buffy, and realizes the depth of his investment in Dawn's well being, too.

You're doing an excellent job keeping the story moving forward even thought they haven't gone off and pursued Buffy, yet. There's a lot of tension in the planning and the fable telling. The gang's reticence rings true, but I'm delighted that Spike isn't the first one to step off this plane in pursuit of Buffy. They should all be invested, andyou're giving everyone a chance to help.

I liked too when Anya could show there knowledge.
But it was been a long time ago; I just hope things will go well but I have a feeling that maybe that won't be the case. I'd be glad if Willow would be able to get to know the rule without trouble.

This was another good chappie, at least now they have something to work with . Hopefully now some things will start happening.

is this story going to be more about spike's journey through hell to get buffy or more about buffy's struggle when she gets back, i.e. will a significant portion of the story take place in hell?
