I've been reading this since the get-go, waiting with baited breath for the next chapter to come out.

Loved the way you handled the characters, especially how Buffy dealt with learning that her William was now Spike. Spike was.... wonderful. Just as loving as when he was only human, but now with a wonderful kink (or two) added in. Made him all the more interesting.

It was nice to see Faith as just a good person/Slayer and not the Big Bad Slayer. She deserves a break every now and then. Thank you for giving it to her.

You did damned fine.


Author's Response: Hee... your clapping makes me giddy! :D You don't know how great it is to hear tthat you've been along for the ride since the beginning and enjoyed the updates. Writing it has been such a great (and sometimes frustrating) experience for me, so it's good to know people appreciate my effort. :) I admit I liked writing conflicted Buffy after she learnt William was undead. And as you said, Spike was pretty much William... with a bit of kink. ;) I thought Faith would make a good friend, the kind that doesn't judge, and makes Buffy have some fun. I didn't plan on making her Buffy's BFF when I started writing it, but then it made sense. :) Thank you so much for the brilliant review!!! :D

I am so glad it ended so happily. Not too much angst and not too sappy it was just right.

Glad that Joyce and Giles are making a go of it. And that it is gradually accepted by all. I wonder how they will eventually figure out this battle with Hermes. Spike so deserves to be saved. And Faith was awakened officially as a slayer by Tara's potion. Wonder if she can help to take out Hermes. I mean, if she can awaken a slayer... Pretty awesome. Update soon!

Author's Response: The two crazy kids deserve to finally have someone, and even Buffy will get used to it once she gets over the initial shock. When it comes to Hermes, it would probably be a suicide mission for Buffy to even try to fight him. Hermes is from mythology a guide of the souls to the underworld. This will have to be more of a brain than muscle solution, but no worries, Buffy will find it. ;) There is no way that she'd let Spike's soul in the hell's ownership. You'll see how that all goes. Author's Response: Hee... he does indeed. ;) Every nook and cranny. Forgiving himself is pretty much the only thing he can do to make the ghosts disappear, but it's easier said than done. Buffy will try to help him every way she can though. She certainly did her research of vampire customs to learn as much as she could, to understand Spike. You'll get to see what they do about the bond soon, and it just might have a bigger significance than it appears to right now. ;) Poor Giles and Joyce got interrupted! Good thing Bufy and Faith didn't come in a bit later or they might have been scarred for life. lol But the secret's out now, which is good. More during the weekend. Gotta say things with her mom went better than I expected. It just takes time now. So glad that Spike is there for her. Wonder if she will wear a skirt for him. Hope so. Update soon.

Author's Response: That's good then. :) Buffy is pretty hurt and feels betrayed but she can't help but want Joyce to be there rather not not at all. Joyce certainly has a lot of making up to do. Author's Response: Hee... I think you just misread that little part at the beginning. The chain rattled as Joyce unlocked the door... I meant that little chain you have on doors as a safety measure against thieves and such. ;) So, no worries nothing evil has captured Joyce or is lurking around in her room. Of course Giles wouldn't have just left it like that if that was the case. See, I'm not evil at all! ;) I do apologize for stopping the Spuffy, but there's more of it in the next chapter. How well she knew this part of him, him trying to hide the pain by slipping on the mask of seduction and flirting. Indeed, Buffy knows him well.
Loved the spuffyness, how supportive Spike became when Buffy became anxious about her mother. But he's always supportive of Buffy, ain't he?
Ah no, no clue how it's going to go with Joyce.

Author's Response: Yup, the two of them are hiding something from Buffy more to that later. ;) Spike can't hide anything from her, but she's not going to call him on it. If he needs to pretend and avoid the situation for a while, then she's going to let him. yay, I'm glad you liked the spuffyness in the chapter. I tried to write them being supportive of each other. The situation with Joyce is pretty complicated, and all I can tell you is... it won't be all hugs and puppies. I'm happy you enjoyed and thank you for the awesome review!!! :)

That was an amazing chapter. So very many interesting implications for our couple and his soul. Not to mention all the side effects from the original curse placed upon him and the ramifications. And the emotional catch-22 that he has a part of his soul when he first went on his rampage, and getting his soul showed him that fact and allowed him to feel the double guilt that he was soul-full as he raged. I can only imagine how he will overcome this. Actually, that would be right where Buffy comes in. I love it. Update soon.

Author's Response: It makes me so happy that you think so! :) The soul is definitely an issue and they'll have to figure out how to break Hermes' ownership over it. The unfinished ritual was the reason it never fully left William, often making him feel more than he should have as a vampire. And all that rage and grief, he channeled in a very bad way. He realizes that, and it's even worse knowing he has nothing but himself to blame for all the things he's done. It is so clever of you to mention that. :) He'll just have to forgive himself, and Buffy's there to help him and just be there when he needs to lean on someone. I'm so happy you enjoy the story.
