Really good writing, but the story makes me kinda of sad, mostly for Buffy. She has a step-daughter that hates her and wants to sleep with her husband and a husband who sleeps with loads of other women and only thinks about screwing their step-daughter. Where is the love? Why are they even married? I wish you could give Buffy some backbone or a lover of her own or something just to make her a little less alone and unwanted. And I really hope that she will participate in this threesome ( because I guess that's where we're heading) of her own will and not just because it´s something her not so nice husband wants.
Author's Response: Well first of all i completely understand what you're saying. But you have to understand that this fic was in response to a taboo Buffy/Spike/Dawn challenge. And in my head, the only way that could ever happen if the three of them were not so nice people in an AU universe. Or vampires. I chose the AU. So here they are, these not nice people. This story, for me at least, is all about the smut.
I don't think either Dawn or Spike hate Buffy. Dawn is just a nineteen year old who lusts after 'Daddy,' perhaps confusing it with love. She only 'hates' Buffy in a childish way, because Buffy has what she wants.
Spike, like so many powerful men, separates love from lust. Cue any politician or actor who's ever been caught cheating. In his mind, he can shag the entire female population of LA and still go home at the end of the day. Pathetic? Yeah. True? Yeah, i think so.
And this AU Buffy, well. She might surprise you.
Anyway, i hope i haven't mislead you or anything. This story was always meant to be smutty. End of story.

The dirty sex is pretty hot, but these characters all seem so hateful and unlikeable...
Author's Response: I agree, but then the world has all sorts doesn't it? I find unlikeable people more interesting, but that's just me. Remember, this story was in response to: Taboo Spuffy fic challenge. It will likely be NC-17 due to content alone. A fic that explores the Buffy/Spike/Dawn relationship. Can be AH, AU or canon (to go off canon, obviously)
So naturally, I had to accomplish that by building this AU world. Here Spike is just a man used to getting whatever he wants. I mean, he's a "businessman" for god's sakes. And "businessmen" aren't morally squeamish. Absolute power corrupts and all that rot. We know people like that exist, in fact, they thrive in this world. Buffy has compromised with the fact that her husband seeks liasons outside the marriage. Again, we know women like that exist. And Dawn. Well. She's just a head over heels nineteen year old (and if this Spike has something to say her heels might be over her head) lusting after what she knows she shouldn't have. And once again, that's been known to happen, more than occasionally. Anyway, enjoy the hot dirty sex (which after all the story is about) and then lock it up in a deep dark place.
