I'm really liking this so far. I think it's extremely well written and the story has amazing potential. The whole idea is great. It's what they didn't have the guts to do on the show because they couldn't put the spotlight on Spike instead of Angel. But this would have made so much more sense considering that Spike got his soul on purpose and saved the world selflessly whereas Angel's soul was forced into him and the only reason he save people is to make his own guilt disappear and get his redemption (pretty selfish in a way if you ask me.) I really loved this: "The entire affair reminded him acrimoniously of the tale of the man that was granted a choice between Heaven and Hell and ended up selecting torment because they had the better sales pitch. " It describes very well what happened on the show. They did get seduced by the sales pitch when they decided to go work for W&H. They explained it away with the "lets work from the inside" thing, but the gigantic office with specially treated windows sure as hell helped. Good story.

Got my attention. Love it when Spike has a one track mind and it's a Buffy track. Intersting start. Keep it coming
