A Bloody Awful Poem

The Poem we didn*t get to hear. Written in the tenure of William's (ahem) "talent" for poetry.

Bright sun and green,

And daylight's sheen,

It scorches, warms, and holds delight.

It sears my head, and heart, and soul,

Doom's name spelled out in shining light.

To bask in her unending glow:

A summer's breeze,

A shining sky,

I daren't profane the kiss of day,

For I am dark and of the night.

This dream is far beyond my reach,

And at days end naught may remain;

But I shall keep it in my soul,

Of golden hair and smiling face,

A glance, a touch,

I*ll hold them all,

Drowning in our last embrace.

Of all of been and ne'er shall be,

Of all the love for her in me,

In my heart's soul, buried deep,

It shall not fade away.

And I said I*d never write a fan poem. Oh well, there's another resolution staked.
