I'm a 50 something year old teacher in NZ. I've been reading Spuffy for over ten years now. I love the interaction between this unlikely couple, that they're opposites who constantly challenge one another on one level, but are equals who are so well matched on another.
New to writing but loving it. Despit hard drive crashes and lack of back up, I've almost finished my second story which is part 2 of a trilogy set in the Sagaria-verse.
Please excuse any kiwification of American terms - usually can't pick up on what is wrong cos you don't know what you don't know!!
Anyone keen to do a banner please contact me. I did make a simple one myself but just couldn't get the coding right so ended up deleting it.
Bloody hell - this is fucking awesome. I don't usually do WIP - too much potential for heartbreak if they die the slow death. But after two years and 36 chapters, I figured you're invested enough to finish the journey. And oh my God am i glad I took the risk. Even if you never finish, the quality of your writing, the originality of your plot, the complexity of the storyline and the character development will forever stand this tale as a piece of art. i love the way you use imagery to paint the landscape of your multiverse, and the almost playful way you select words and phrases. I find myself reading lines over and over again to suck out every metaphor, ever image, each nuance. You're a true artist, please finish those final strokes to complete this masterpiece. Do I love it - hell yeah!!!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, badgervamp. Nothing short of a well-aimed bullet can stop me from finishing it now.
So all the ducks are in a row - except you just blew some of the ducks out of the water didn't you? Still wouldn't write Willow off though. Brilliant writing as ever - where can I buy the book? Looking forward to the final home straight - who will survive? Who will die a hero - my money's on the Butch and Sundance combination of Andrew and Melvin - how well you've managed to humanise that old devil! Thank you for sharing your vision with us.
Author's Response: Thanks for the kind words, badgervamp. Yes, it is the final home stretch now and, while not everyone will make it to the finish line, I hope I\'ve given them all a good run.
Well I’ve just finished an Origins marathon – reading all three books end to end. I had read Book 1 years ago and part of Book 2 (but can’t handle WIPs so lost track after a while). But I couldn’t wait to get stuck in and reread the whole ‘verse when I noticed Resolutions popped up on the Completed fics. I know as an author its nice to have regular, ongoing feedback, but as a reader, nothing beats being able to immerse oneself in the world a writer has created for you and riding that road to the very end. And what a journey you took us on. My sincere thanks for the vision, the talent, the passion and the dogged determination you put in to creating this amazing, compelling, unique and convincing ‘verse. You painted a broad and vivid landscape, peopled by bold and believable versions of our favourite characters. The plot was an utterly enthralling rollercoaster ride of action, suspense, romance, sex, betrayal, angst, sex, triumph, redemption and hot, hot sex. Loved it, loved it, loved it and I’m quite sad to be leaving this tale behind. Thanks once again Niamh for sharing your amazing gift with us. Xx Bv
Thanks Niamh for another great chapter. I loved Xander's introspection in this one and Tara's insightful tune. Looking forward to seeing what goes on in the nightclub.
Awesome little tale thanks. Would be perfect for a sequel - I'd love to know how they'd get on with Dawn and the Scoobies finding out, coming up against Glory and of course the Council's machinations.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I\'m thinking about that.
Have just finished reading Tracker and Tracked Down. Awesome stuff - hard to read at times with its often unrelentingly painful angst but a beautifully crafted and delivered epic nonetheless. Loved the way you tied up the loose ends and gave us a very believable, bittersweet ending. Thanks for the great ride.
Author's Response: Thank you very much for being brave enough to read. I really appreciate your comments regarding my writing. I love convoluted plots and having to make sure the loose ends are accounted for - it\'s a challenge! LOL! Thanks again.
Thought provoking little tale - very bittersweet. Beautifully written as always. Loved both versions of Spike, so as I often am with double universes, very torn between who should win Buffy's hand. My heart has to stay with the vamp version. And I wonder if Buffy back in the 'real' world will ever be able to settle for normal Will knowing what she's lost. Good to leave some of these questions unanswered.
Author's Response: Thank you. I\'m glad you enjoyed it. :)
Awesome epic journey. I don't usually like reading WIPs, preferring to wait until they're completed, but your regular updating kept me hooked. Wonderful writing and endless unique twists on the Whedon verse. Great little stinger at the end linking up your AU versions with two recognisably canon versions. Thanks for the ride. Looking forward to your sequels.
Author's Response: Hi badgervamp! Thanks so much for reading while it was a WIP! I totally understand the hesitancy to do that! I\'m glad you enjoyed the different twists and turns this universe took . . . it was a lot of fun finding different ways to do things (and, IMO, fix some things!) that happened in the Whedon-verse! I\'ll have more soon . . . probably won\'t have updates as quickly as I did the main story, but they\'re on the way . . . just have to keep my muse burning the midnight oil! LOL! Thanks again for reading and leaving me a review - - - I REALLY do appreciate it!! -Passion4Spike 2010.05.05
Awesome, awesome story. Enjoyed it every step of the way. Original and believable interpretations of Elizabeth/ Buffy and William's characters and motivations and insight into their evolving relationship. Great work. I hope inspiration hits you again - I'd love to see a sequel one day!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much(I get a mental picture of Badger from Breaking Bad, turned vampire!) Hope to have another Spuffy story some day
This is my absolute favorite fix of the many I am reading at the moment. Love the plot and the gentle, loving relationship between Buffy and Spike. Makes my day whenever I see you've updated. Keep it up.
Author's Response: Wow, badgervamp, that\'s very kind, thanks! Hopefully my ending is as good as everyting up to this point and I don\'t come off boring or anticlimactic.
Ohh, I love the triple commitment here, the mating, followed by hot love-making followed by a promise ring. Dawn on side, Joyce on side, Tara and Anya on side, now just the original Scoobies to go. Can't wait to see how Buffy stands up to them
They have plenty of people on their side. The rest of the gang might not be so easy to convince.
Somehow managed to miss Chapter 25 so got to read 25 and 26 together. Woo-hoo. Damned awesome. I didn't mind at all that you stepped away from spike and Buffy for a bit. You've fleshed Alex out so well that she has become as beloved as the Buffyverse characters for me. Fantastic plot development, slice of life in the snobby English public school system and introduction of new characters. And I loved Alex's interaction with Spike - "You are my kid!" aww, got all misty eyed at that one. Thanks Petra, still loving this.
I'm really enjoying this little tale - a much sweeter, gentler transition back to life and a reason to feel happy to be back. Lovely idea.
Thanks for the update despite the challenges in your life. Am really enjoying this lovely fic. Love your characterizations and Margaret is so cute. Eagerly awaiting more
Nice ending to this great little sequel. Thank you for an awesome story.
Author's Response: You're welcome. Thank you for reading it. :)
Cute and hot. well done
Phew! Hot as. Keep going!
A lovely little tale. How sweet it would have been. Thank you Tammy and good luck with your treatment.
Wow Linnae - beautifully written, hawt, sweet, passionate and did I mention hawt. Phew! Had got a bit behind on my reading so had three lovely chapters to enjoy. Looking forward to more
Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! And thank you! Your praise is greatly appreciated and hits my self doubts over the head with a hammer, which they definitely need once in a while lol. I will be posting again within a week, hopefully. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
Wow, I have just picked this up yesterday and read it right through Chapters 1 to 10. An awesome fic - great original premise, super characterizations and of course truckloads of UST. Some nice little twists here, non Slayery Buffy (although I was convinced for the first 3 chapters that Willow had hit at least her, if not Spike as well with the old Lethe's bramble), friendly, well slightly less bitchy Darla, adding the Xander/Dawn relationship simultaneously with retaining Willow/Oz. And did I mention the UST. Anyway thanks Linnae, I shall read and review regularly from now on.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for checking out this fanfic! I'm so happy you are enjoying it, and the fact you will be reading and reviewing makes me so happy! I really appreciate your kind words, and I hope you will enjoy the next chapter as much as you have the last ones. Always glad to get new readers! (:
Hot. hot, hot - yeow! Love Daddyfics and this was a doozy. Thanks.
So cute. Yes its a long time since I read the original two fics, but I always love your work SMS. A sweet little Christmas treat xxx
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year!
