Summary: This is the sequel to Me and a Gun written by Stephanie. Stephanie and Tasha are writing this sequel together. This picks up at the end of the previous story. It would be helpful to read that story, but the summary is that right after OMWF, Buffy is caught in the cemetery, raped, shot, and left to die. Spike sees the perpetrator leaving the crypt, and then he smells Buffy's blood. He finds her inside, and the rest follows. (There is NO actual rape in this fic, but we are dealing with the aftermath that Buffy goes through because of it.)

I loved this story so much that this is the 5th time I am reading it. The only gripe I have is that Buffy was entirely to forgiving of everyone. She should have had a lot of issues with the lot of them. That always got to me with that episode when she came back from being thrown out of her own house.

Author's Response: It\'s awesome that you\'re curious about that. :) In my mind, Eline has done quite a lot of damage to William for her to just turn up and ask for his help. She may look 13 but no worries, she\'s been self-reliant for a lot longer than that. She\'s human now but that doesn\'t change all the things she\'s done and she\'s not exactly crushed about it. She\'s no Angel. ;) I imagine she\'d end up in a foster family where she\'d plot and wait for Dru to come back for her and turn her again. Then again, a lot changes in seven years and she\'d probably come to regret making that deal. But that would be a whole other story. :) Thank you for reading and reviewing!!

What I can't understand is why would it matter so much if spike has no soul? If she loves him wouldn't the adjustment only take a little bit of time?
Author's Response: In most of my fics - it wouldn\'t. But remember, canon Buffy was all about the soul and how important it was. She didn\'t let herself relax and admit how important Spike was to her until he had one. I think the adjustment might take a bit longer this time. Especially with Spike\'s new eating habits... :)
