It all started in the beginning eighth grade, Elizabeth, also known as Buffy, was hanging out with friends during lunch period. Willow, one of buffy's best friends noticed Buffy staring off in the distance. Curious to what her friend was staring at, she followed Buffy's gaze. She soon fell upon a boy who she knew went by the name of Spike. After friends with Buffy for such a long time, she knew what that gaze meant.

"Buffy, I can see you staring at Spike Giles. Do you like him or something?" she accused.

"Uh, no...of course not. I was just staring at the...trees..they're so beautiful this time of year, " Buffy countered.

"Come on... I've known you for years now. I can tell when you're lying and plus, I know that stare."

Who was Buffy kidding? She did like Spike. But they never talked. They had the same math class, but they never exchanged more than a simple "hello". She started to notice him when her other best friend Cordelia, who had a flirty side, sat next to him in math class. Being best friends they always exchanged notes and asked Spike to help them pass it along.

Being the unofficial "messenger boy", Spike started to notice Cordelia's friend Buffy. Sure, Cordelia always flirted with him and she was very beautiful, but she was to forthcoming. He liked Buffy's mysteriousness and how she laughed at things that weren't even funny. She was also beautiful, but in a different way than Cordelia. So as time went by, Spike wanted to get to know Buffy more and more. But she seemed to close off and not want to talk to him.

Buffy was confused. Spike actually made an effort to talk to her. She didn't know why. Cordelia was always flirting with him, but then again she was so much prettier than her and more out there. She knew she could be very outgoing, but Spike made her so nervous. She just froze up when he talked to her. She had no clue what to say or if she did say something she would just say something stupid. She finally made up her mind. She would open up to him.

The next few weeks, Buffy and Spike talked more and more. Cordelia knowing her friend took a liking to him, was glad she finally found someone. Buffy was always moping around from her breakup from Riley. They were in love for 3 years. Yes they were young, but the look they had on their faces when they saw each other, you just knew they were in love. Then Buffy had to move for a year. And when she came back, Riley had moved on. Of course, Buffy hadn't. She was still in love when she came back and seeing him with other girls just devastated her. She tried talking to him, but it was just so awkward. So seeing her blush when Spike cracked a joke was refreshing. She needed someone new.

It was another day in school and another lunch period. Buffy and her besties, Willow, Cordelia and Xander were out back on the field eating their lunch. Willow wanting to discuss Buffy's growing crush with her decided that now was the time.

So getting straight to the point Willow asked,"So when are you going to ask out Spike Giles?"

"Oh Willow, you know I don't think girls should ask out guys and besides I don't have the guts to do it," she said.

"Well you know I'm a good friend of his. Maybe I can put the idea into his head or something."

Horrified, Buffy exclaimed,"God no! Then he would know that I like him!"

"And that would be a bad thing...why?" Willow asked.

"Because I don't want him to know. It would be so awkward if I talked to him."

Not wanting to press the issue any more Willow dropped it. But she has a few tricks
up her sleeves.





The next day at school Willow caught Spike after school and asked if they could talk.

"So what's up Willow?"

"Well I just wanted to let you know that I know someone who has a crush one you."

"Really? Is it Cordelia? She always flirting with me, but I gotta say I'm not interested in her."

"I'm not saying any more..."

And with that Willow walked away leaving a very confused Spike behind.




The following morning Buffy, Willow, and Cordelia were walking into to school when Spike went up to their group.

"Come on Willow. Just tell me who it is!"

Cordelia caught on knowing Willow's plan for she has to Cordelia on the phone the night before. As for Buffy, it took her a little longer to catch on.
"Tell you what?" Willow responded.

"Tell me who likes me!"

And with that Buffy's cheeks were beet red with embarrassment. How could Willow do that! She specifically told her not to tell him.

"You're going to have to guess, Bleach Boy."

"Oh bloody hell! There are too many girls in this school..."

"Well then you better get started."

As the days went by Spike went up to Willow with all the girls he could think of. HE had not gotten it right yet. Finally seeing as he got desperate, Willow decided to give him a hint.

"It's one of my closest friends and her name starts with either A, B, or C."

"So it's Buffy or Cordelia."

"Yep."

"Why can't you just tell me which one it is?"

"Because I don't want them to get hurt. Tell me how you feel about each one and I might tell you."

"Well, I already told you how I feel about Cordelia. But Buffy...shes's amazing. She's just so alluring and mysterious. I want to get to know her. She's also beautiful and smart. But she doesn't seem interested in me."

Willow took a deep breath. "Well, she is. She's just shy and afraid. She gets like that when she's nervous."

Spike was speechless. This whole time she liked him. He just thought she wasn't interested. Turned out she was nervous. And he had been nervous the whole time too!

"Wow. That's great. I mean I want to her ask her out. But how? I want to do something creative..."

"I thought you would never ask," Willow said with a big smile.

"So Buffy, want to go to the mall and watch a movie tomorrow after school?" Willow asked.

"I'll have to ask my mom, but if she says yes, then sure!" Buffy exclaimed cheerfully.

"Okay then call me tonight and we'll work out the details."

Walking off to her class, Buffy yelled out, "Okay!"

As the day went on, Buffy thought of ways to ask her mom if she could go to the mall. She knew her mother would say yes, but she always got nervous when she had to ask her to go somewhere. Her mom was strict on her grades, but she was allowed to go out when she wanted. For some reason she just got nervous. Her dad had lived with her just until about 3 years ago. Her father would hide money from her mom and finally her mother had had enough. Buffy's mom could support them both with her job so she filed for a divorce. Since then they had been doing really well. Coming back to the present Buffy decided that she would ask at dinner. She was glad she would have something to do Friday night. It was always so boring staying at home and doing nothing.



Later that night, after asking her mom if she could go, Buffy called up Willow.

"So guess what Wills?"

"You're going to tell Spike that you like him?"

"NO! You know I would never do that. I wanted to tell you that my mom said yes to tomorrow. It took me forever to ask her, but I finally did and like always she said yes."

"Okay good! Well I'll ask my parents if they can drop us off after school and maybe your mom can pick us up."

"Alright then. See you tomorrow at school."

"Bye. Love you." And with that Willow hung up the phone and had completed her first phase of the plan.




-The Next Day During Math Class-

"So luv, I hear you, Cordelia, and Willow are going to the mall to watch a movie, "Spike questioned.

"Yeah we are. Why? Did they invite you along?" Buffy asked nervously.

"Yeah they did. But I'm a bit busy. It's my aunt's birthday so I can't go."

A little relieved, but at the same time disappointed Buffy replied, "Oh well. You know family first."

"Yeah. That true. Well hope you guys have fun."

"Okay thanks."



"Hurry up Buffy! My mom is waiting!"

"Okay okay. I'm coming!"



Once at the mall, the three decided to walk around seeing as their movie didn't start until later. Hearing her phone ringing, Willow quickly answered.

"Hello? Oh okay. Hold on. Buffy it's for you. It's Xander."

"What? Why didn't he just call my own phone?"

"I don't know. Just here."

"Okay. Hello?"

" 'ello, luv."

Hearing the sound of his voice made Buffy's heart just leap to her throat.

"Uhmm. Hi. What's up?"

"Well I heard that you like me," Spike said.

Her eyes bulging, Buffy turned to Willow and mouthed "YOU TOLD HIM?!?". Willow just smiled and nodded in response.

".....yes. I do."

"Well that's great. I like you too. I've had for a while. And now I'm finally asking. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Buffy couldn't believe it. All this time she thought he would never like her. And now HE was asking her out.

Without a second thought Buffy let out a final, "YES!"

"Okay. Great, luv. Now look up in the direction of the candy store."

Losing her sense of direction for a second Buffy Looked around and tried to look for it. Finally settling her eyes on the gorgeous blonde upstairs with a cell in his hand, smiling. Spike hung up and started walking toward the escalator. Buffy couldn't take her eyes off him as he came down. She was so happy and couldn't stop smiling. She looked at Willow who was giggling.

"So you planned this whole thing?" she asked.

"Yep. Me and him. Big surprise huh? Aren't we clever?"

"Haha yes. you guys are."

"Yes we are what?" Spike said finally joining in the conversation.

"That you guys are clever," Buffy said smiling.

"That we are luv. Now wasn't that the best way to ask out someone?"

"Well it's the best way considered all the other ways people have asked me."

"I'm glad. Now lets's go watch a movie."

"Hey...I thought it was your aunt's birthday today..."

"Just a little lie to through you off pet." WIth that Spike grabbed her hand and they set off toward the theaters.

Once inside, Buffy still couldn't believe what had happened. It felt like a dream. She kept repeating to herself that it was real and she was now the girlfriend of Spike Giles. She turned to look at him and he to her and they just smiled. Buffy felt so happy. She wasn't even paying attention to the movie. Everything that had just happened was just replaying in her head over and over again.

Spike couldn't believe what had just happened. He mustered up the courage to ask Buffy out. Without Willow's confirmation that she liked him he would have never asked her. He hated rejection and if she had said no, it would have been a blow to him. He felt her staring at him so he turned to her and smiled. As she smiled back, he thought of how beautiful she really was. With her golden hair and gorgeous green eyes. He couldn't believe how he didn't notice her sooner.

After the movie, they walked around some more just having fun and laughing. Buffy couldn't believe how comfortable she felt around him. He was so easy to talk to and was really funny. Finally having to go, Spike said his goodbye to Willow and Cordelia. He went to Buffy and hugged her. Not wanting to scare her he didn't do anything else.

After breaking apart Spike said, "Well I had a great time today luv."

"Me too. I'll see you Monday."

"Alright. Bye."

"Goodbye."

They shared one more hug and with that Spike departed.

Well here's the second chapter.

As the weeks went by, Buffy found herself falling more and more in love with Spike. Spike felt the same way too. He even had a nickname for her. He called her his "angel". They would talk for hours on the phone each day. Considering Buffy was shy at first it took her a while to get used to him. But soon they were holding hands and giving each other little kisses here and there.

In a couple of weeks there would be a school dance and Buffy loved to dance. It was the only way she could really let loose. She wasn't sure if Spike wanted to go, but it didn't hurt to try and ask him.

"So the dance is this Friday..."

"So it is pet." Spike knew very well she wanted to go. He was just going to see how long it took till she came out with it.

"Well, Cordelia, Willow, and Xander are going."

"Yeah. The movie we watched last night was good wasn't it?" he said smiling.

Buffy turned to look at him and caught his smile, "You meanie! You knew I wanted to go and yet you still play dumb," Buffy said slapping him lightly across the chest.

"Haha. Well just wanted to see how long it took you before you came out with it."

"Well now you know...so do you want to go?"

"Of course I do. Especially if I'm going with you, my angel."





It was Friday night and the girls were frantically trying to hurry up and finish getting ready. The theme of the dance was "The Greaser Days" so Willow was forced to wear a white off the shoulder top that clung to her skin and some black pants that looked like they were painted on. Cordelia wore a red strapless dress not caring for the theme. Buffy on the other hand opted for a black and red corset top and a black pencil skirt that clung to her curves. She curled her hair and pinned one side back with a white flower. Finishing the last of her makeup, Buffy heard the door ring. Knowing her mother would get it she finished up so they could make their grand entrance.

Spike was downstairs anxiously waiting Buffy to come down. He looked over at Oz, who was Willow's date, and Parker who was Cordelia's. They seemed just as nervous as he was. Because of the theme, Spike wore a white tee that showed off his sculpted body and tight jeans. He looked up and there she was. His angel. His angel who decided to show off her naughty side tonight. She looked absolutely gorgeous. He could not stop staring at her.

He looked so good she thought. He left his hair in a mess of curls. The way he looked at her made her melt inside. It looked like he wanted to devour her right then and there. She blushed at the thought. Buffy came down, took his hand and they said goodnight to Joyce and left.

When they arrived at the school gym the group of them looked for a table to sit. Once they found one, the boys went off to get some drinks for the girls. Once they left, they started chattering at once.

"OH MY GOD! BUFFY! Do you SEE how Spike is looking at you?!" Cordelia exclaimed.

"I know Buffy! He does look pretty good himself," Willow noted.

"Hey, my boyfriend. Back off," Buffy said jokingly.

They all started laughing and the boys came back.

"What are you ladies laughing about?" Spike questioned.

"Nothing hun." Buffy said kissing him lightly on the lips.

Then a song started up and Buffy jumped up. "OH! I LOVE this song! Let's dance!"

They all headed for the dance floor and Spike was surprised that Buffy stood with her back facing him and wrapped his hands around her waist. She moved sensually to the music grinding her ass into his groin. She switched from going slow to fast. He instantly got a hard on. He couldn't believe she was doing this. He would have never thought she was capable of it. God, how much he loved it. He took her hands and and turned her to face him.

Buffy couldn't believe she was dancing this way. She just let go when she danced. She knew what she was doing by grinding into him. She could feel it too. Buffy swayed her hips to the music just letting her body take over. She just got lost in the music. She then felt herself turn around and soon she was facing Spike. She wrapped her arms around him and he had one hand on her waist and one on the curve of her ass. They were moving together and Spike was starting to have trouble with his erection.

Not being able to handle it anymore Spike said, " Buffy, angel. Hold on. I have a bit off a problem."

Buffy looked to what he was looking at and saw the bulge there. She followed him outside and didn't know what came over her, but she just turned to him and crashed her lips to his. Spike instantly wrapped his arms tightly around her small body. He slipped his tongue in her mouth. Buffy played with his hair as their tongues massaged each other's. They finally broke apart, needing air. They were panting and just looking at each other smiling.

"That was...wow," Spike managed to spit out.

"It was. I don't know what came over me," Buffy said embarrassed.

"No. It's fine. Perfect in fact."

"Oh okay."

He walked toward her and grabbed her face and kissed her again. This time more tenderly. Buffy let out a breath in content and smiled against his lips.

With their foreheads touching Spike asked," What is it?"

"Nothing. It's just I'm so happy."

"Good to hear. Buffy..."

"Yes?"

"I...I...I love you."

Pausing to take in what he said Buffy finally said, "I love you too."

Letting out the breath he didn't know he was holding, Spike started smiling.

Buffy started to giggle and she hugged him with all her love. He hugged ger back with the same intensity.

"Wanna go back inside?"

"And show you some more dance moves? Ok. Sure," Buffy said smiling and starting toward the door to inside.

"You little..." Spike said chasing after her.




After the dance, Buffy spent the night at Willow's. Once they were all out of their clothes and the makeup was off, Buffy told her all about what happened when her and Spike went outside. Once she was done she just looked at Willow who had a face of awe on her.

"Well...say something!"

"That...is...so...ROMANTIC!"

"I know huh! I'm so happy! I can't believe it! He loves me! He LOVES me!"

"I'm so happy for you Buffy. You found someone."

"Well, it's thanks to you Willow. I owe it all to you."

"Thank you, thank you. I am a great matchmaker."

"Haha. Yes you are."

Chuckling Willow said," Okay well time for bed. We'll talk tomorrow morning,"

"Okay. Goodnight. Love you."

"Love you too. More than Spike does."

"Haha. Okay..."

Buffy fell asleep thinking of a certain bleached blonde.
