Hmm , sounds like this relationship is dead in the water to me, she's totally hung up on Spike and it sounds like cornbread is hung up on Sam. so let him ask her out instead , the doofus. Hope to read more soon.

Author's Response: I didn't want him to be in it just as a date otherwise he wouldn't be here, not fond of other guys getting in the way of Spuffy, his main purpose was always to give her a link to progressing as a journalist through one of his friends, then when coming to write it I thought "Why not make it Sam, then everyone will relax" I was hoping people would see it the way you do...as long as Riley has an alternative girl in a story I think people aren't as uncomfortable him being around Buffy...even though he's not with Sam I thought throwing her name in would calm some people down...

I'm still here. I love this story even with all the angst. Although I do admit, I can't wait to see them back together again even if it is arguing. Spike gave up WAY too easily and I hope that he fights for Buffy.

Author's Response: Lol I always disliked Riley because he was so plain and boring, even in the show when he turned out to be a demon fighting soldier-boy he still wasn't anymore interesting! Even though this Buffy's a normal girl I promise after Spike she doesn't wan't boring...

Ahhhhh!!!!!!! Oh so sad so frustrating but such a good update. I'm sure the road will be rough for awhile, but I'm definitely in for the ride. How long will this story be? Can't wait to see how Spike's doing. Thanks for the update, can't wait for the next. :-)

Author's Response: Thanx for the review :) There will be about 11 more Chapter, I think I've planned 32, but the end few Chapters may either be grouped together or split into more depending on how long they are when I've written them and the tone, feeling of them etc...

Well at least Spike is trying to pull himself together. Can't wait for more!

Of course he cheated. That's why all their mutual friends sided with Dru. Now Buffy's going to be all insecure about the possibility that he could do the same to her. I hope we hear the whole story this time and not some glossed over, cryptic crap. Buffy needs honesty, and I bet Spike needs to be honest with himself, too.

I would like to thank you for your reply. Yes, I do have problems with some of the things Joss did with the show. One of them being is that only seem like Spike had to be constantly thrown under the bus and Buffy only got a little slap for the things that went wrong in their relationship in season six. I also know that these aren't the same characters from the show. Of course I get that. This is fanfiction and all. I was just trying to make my point across that isn't always men who are jerks and women that are the only ones who get hurt from relationships. Which is what I always see when it comes to AU Spuffy fanfiction. They make Spike into this biggest jerk while Buffy is this sweet innocent girl. Lots of time I always get writers say that Spike wasn't an innocent on the show. Yes, of course he wasn't. He was a vampire. But if you want the truth. Spike was always loyal to the women who love. He was the guy who did anything for love. He did everything for Dru when he was with her. He did everything for Buffy when he was in love with her. He was love's bitch. He made mistakes on trying to be someone good. He said some things he shouldn't have said. But that is too be expected from a vampire who is trying to be good and not have anybody really believe in him. Spike made be snarky at times and crude. But he really wasn't a jerk to the women he loves. He was a pussy cat when it came to the women he love. I just never really like it when a writer told me that Spike is a jerk on the show. Spike may be a lot of things on the show but being a jerk to the woman he loves wasn't one of them. I'm not saying that you can't write Spike as a jerk in fanfiction. But to say that is like his character in the show is just not true. In this story you made Spike into a man who just is an ass. First, he doesn't keep in touch with Buffy because he is too busy with his own life. Then he cheats on Dru. Then he ends it with Buffy. Then the Harmony situation. Which is why I was disappointed in this story. It just seem like all the other stories where they have Spike being an ass while Buffy is the innocent woman who gets hurt by a man. Just another all men are jerks and all women are innocent type of story. I don't know if I will continue. I do agree that you should write it on how you feel it should be. I would never tell a writer on how to write their story. So, I hope that you didn't think that. I just wanted to let you how I felt. That I'm not one to read stories where Spike has to beg Buffy for forgiveness. Cause I have it too many times on the show and I have seen it too many times in AU Spuffy fanfiction for my liking.
