Great chapter, and no, I don't think Spike was being too nice to Buffy. He acted pretty much the same way she did when she was in her own world. Maybe a little bit nicer, but it fit in the story considering that he's been warming up to her for the past couple of chapters anyway. And don't let one person's opinion kill your confidence as a writer. It's a grader, not God. There is as many opinions out there as there is people. Even the greatest author has received critics and negative comments. Don't ignore critic because it is useful, but don't let it stop you from writing. Well.. unless you get nothing but negative comments, but that's not your case ;) Keep writing.
Author's Response: Thanks Isabel! I'm glad Spike wasn't too nice and yea, I just think he would be if it were reversed and were 'good.' Luckily, I haven't gotten any negative reviews for the fic so I can revel in them to soak my sorrows for that stupid paper. Thanks for your review!!

I think 'the bitch is gone' would have been an approprate title for this chapter LOL! Don't mind me, I'm just doing a little happy dance about Leanna (yep, it carried over from the last chapter). This was a great chapter and you're getting me more interested in the unidentified characters. For a while I thought they were good and then you throw this little twist in there. And don't worry about the grader- there's a huge difference in writing something you love and get enjoyment out of, insead of writing an essay! Loved the chapter and I will be waiting anxiously for the next update!

Originally I set it up so that the mysterious people could go either way because I wasn't sure, but then I had that one epiphany remember? The one where I wrote you some email rant in the middle of the night, lol. Thanks for the long review! I needed the encouragement :)

Hey! I loved this update...nice Spike is always good to see, and thank god for losing Leanna (for the moment, at least). And don't worry about what grade you got for your writing- you have to remember that what you write here is different than what you turn in for classes, and let me tell you that what you write here is worth an A, my dear. Don't let a teacher/professor get you down because it's not worth the aggravation. But thanks for updating even though you have so much homework:)

Author's Response: Well I wasn't sure if I should have him break up with her this early, but then I realized I didn't plan on having her attached to him for that long anyway - she's most definitely still gonna show up, but just not on his ass! Yay!!! I seriously doubt she'll take it well, but YAY!!! You just made my night and what an excellent end to the chapter. I also kind of liked Mike- he was a nice addition at the right time. Kind of like a likable Riley without all the added hatred that goes along with his character. Love the interaction- and did I mention I loved the end? LOL! Great job- I can't wait for more!!

Author's Response: lol I didn't mean it to be a secret, but I guess I didn't make it that obvious cuz I wanted it to be sort of climatic and suspenseful - look again at the line: glittering grey eyes were watching them from afar.
