YAY! I love your story, and I am glad to see things are improving between our couple. She is definitely warming up to him. I love our you intertwines scenes and bits of Spike's past into your story through a dream. Very well done!

OMH! This just keeps better and better. Dru being such a bitch to Buffy. Buffy fighting back. Angelus making his move to acquire Buffy, Spike being all lovey (even if he still won't admit it to Buffy and still fighting with himself over it). Ok so Dru cheated and then her and Angel tortured him by having sex in front of him then Dru stabbed him but how did he end up staying and then becoming a leader like Angelus?

Road to Redemption…to your left and 5 miles ahead. Oh thank god. They’re not on that road yet but I feel it’s around the bend. I want so bad to forgive Spike I really do (he seems a pathetic mess of gooey feelings this round), but I think he deserves everything he’s getting from Buffy. And I hope she dishes out just a little bit more. Spike needs to ‘come full circle’ emotionally/mentally with himself as a man, his past and figure out exactly what it is he wants for himself. Until some form of inner-healing goes on, I don’t see him as capable of loving Buffy properly, nor should he try. Not to sound to cliché, but you can’t know where you’re going till you understand where you’ve been, poor Spike has just been existing, till Buffy came along and opened his eyes.

What is very disturbing is when Spike agrees to Angelus’ request of Buffy being the prize of the fight that has to take place between them for Spike’s breaking rules. Ok, first, I understand exactly why Spike acts the way he does, he has to no matter how he feels on the inside b/c this is Angelus he’s dealing w/. But, #1, this is soooooooooo gonna piss Buffy off, not the way to make her feel like she isn’t some toy (he better tell her about this BEFORE the fight goes down). #2 Maybe Spike’s not worried about winning this fight, but I am. What the hell is Buffy gonna do if Angelus does win, there’s no way she’s coming out of this one unscathed.

Buffy is really learning how to talk the talk/walk the walk when it comes to survival and her interactions w/ others. However she’s a sloppy liar (dropping crumbs every where for Spike…the crumbsnatcher), her behavior and words totally betray her feelings. Yeah right, she’s reeeeeeeeeeeal happy that he’s finally leaving her alone. Can’t have your cake and eat it too Buffy. Ohhh loooooooook , there goes another crumb on the floor.

Oh, and I totally think Cordy is one of the good guys. I agree w/ one of the other reviewers, that Cordy’s eyes are everywhere, BUT, I think she really SEES things for what they are. Still wondering though, where’s Cordy’s little boyfriend is lately? I didn’t forget about Buffy seeing her and Doyle all ‘couply-like’. Got the funny feeling the 4 of them are going to have quite a lot in common when it get’s down to the nitty-gritty. Possibly even relying on each other.

I’m truly curious to find out why Spike was even allowed to join the gang in the first place. Have a funny feeling Dru’s directly responsible (I’m thinking there’s some agreement or what not between D & A, b/c I don’t feel A would have bothered w/ Spike otherwise) but that his ‘initiation’, if you will, is something very dark and disturbing indeed. Angelus’ taste for the perverse having a good hand in it. Your line, “He’ll never be anything but my dark prince, even if he refuses to play by the rules” was not lost on me, or maybe I’m reading way too much into it.

Love this chapter, chock full of raw emotions and hints in every corner. I have learned my lesson though, I won’t assume anything, I’ll just patiently wait for the next chappy.

I find it interesting she doesn't like it when Spike ignores her and she's trying to figure out all that went on with Drusilla. Makes total sense her jumping to the conclusion he's just using her to pass the time with till he gets back with Dru. Also I dig that Buffy loses her concentration to Darla in the process. All is not what it seem with Buffy and her feelings towards him. She is sorta like a angry cat striking out at all that try to interact with her but hey you can't trust anyone so I get her reasoning's it's great how you unfold her reactions little by little in this cause she's had so much to process along with her hurt as well.

Ok Darla being the big ho can I just say I soooooo love that I had a great laugh over that and Cordy ripping on her as well.

Not many people write out Drusilla well and I think you did good with her in this.And I love the fact Drusilla and Buffy were about equal in their fight it shows she doesn't have to take Dru's crap much longer. God Angelus in this makes me even wanna take a shower and I'm only reading the fic here I think your doing outstanding here in this for he is such a puke when evil. I think Buffy played off of Angel well exuding her hate towards Spike I don't think Angelus is concerned that Buffy would ever have any emotion other then hate for Spike.

I think Cordy likes Spike with Buffy and she sees they could be good together in some ways. I think possible Cordy likes Spike less evil like when he's with Buffy after her whole torture -fest from Angelus.

I was amused at Spike and Buffy's couple like fighting at her door. I think Buffy is justified in questioning Spikes new behavior to her and calling him on it. I was reading that and thought screaming in my head
"How does she know it's a act! You bag-o-bleach head! Tell the girl!"
Then her complete and total indifference to him rocked! I was like "That's right get lost you jerk!" heheheheh. He just keeps trying to sooth her over in words or things that might have worked on the likes of Harm but sooooo do not work on her. Heck I just enjoy her making him work so hard to try to comfort or please her and see how long it takes him to notice this are slightly amiss with her.

This line I liked “Leave!” Her voice was filled with both anger and a pleading quality.

I'm not sure what she is more confused with her anger or herself for wanting him to comfort her. It's like she won't let him show her any other side of himself to her like as long as she can keep him as a monster in her mind she can deal or something like if she holds on to him just using her for sex then she doesn't have to face her having any other feeling for him. As for Spike's part I think the only way he can show any affections is thru sex cause he's had to shut himself so far off from the world he used to live in.

I could go on and on hehehe*
It's weird cause when I read this fic I start looking at them like real people vs it just being a bit of fiction and that is the coolest thing about reading your work you forget it's a story it's so visual in the way you deliver it and suddenly you find yourself in the plot.

Once again outstanding work and much praise on this I think I love your long updates the best!~

And I haaaate writing Drusilla because there's just something about her crazy lines and ways that sounds so stupid when you make it up on paper. Only things that sound right are what she already said on the show, lol. The observation about his Harm-like tactics is pretty great too, and YES! The monster point is what I was trying to say/hint at. Thank goodness it was not lost in my confusing words :P I'm glad that the characters seem to come to life for you! You like the long updates?
