I really hate Buffy right now. It is so completely arrogant of her to think that she knows William's feelings better than he does... if he really isn't interested in anyone else it's not going to suddenly make him want to explore- unless, of course, he does it out of anger. Please slap Buffy for me!!!

*whacks Buffy with a rubber baseball bat* Dummy! lol don't worry, I don't hate her at all =D I think she's being a little stupid, but I get why she's doing it...and I still love the story!

To be honest, not sure I agree with where the "altruistic" reasons for her doing this. To me the fact that she is asking him to "prove" that's it's not just gratitude, shows that she isn't doing this for him, but to keep herself from being hurt. I understand the self-discovery thing, but when you love someone and they love you back, you're no longer have just you to think about. Everything you do impacts them. I think the impact HER decision had on him "proves" that it's love. If it was gratitude, his heart wouldn't be breaking before her eyes. Also, this being HER decision, feels a little like she's still trying to hold on too tightly to the William part of him and protect him, which again, to me, is selfish...'cause she's holding onto the part she wants most. Hope this doesn't sound like I'm not enjoying the story. I am. Think the fact that this chapter has evoked such a strong reaction from me proves how amazing your writing is. So, although I feel the way I do, I'm hooked. I'm at your will for the remainder of the journey. (WOW! Think this is the longest review I've ever left.)

I think Buffy may need therapy. I mean really. She thinks William is too stupid to understand what love is and what he wants, and she can't stand it if she's not in complete control over everything. That's too bad. I think Buffy needs to learn more about life than William does. Is that really what's happening here? It's Buffy that needs to grow up, right? Since life is always about learning and changing, it's stupid for Buffy to think she can control Wiliam's self-discovery process. Plus you can't "let somebody free" that doesn't want to go. Hopefully Buffy will get with it and learn she really screwed up and William will take her back.

No, don't let her think that. She's gonna do the whole avoding thing like she always does, I can see it coming. I can't believe she would ever think that he would leave her. The girl needs to get some confidence. Anyway, I love this story and I hope she won't end things with him. That would hurt a lot worse. They have potential to be something great in this.
