Actually nice to see Xander not be an idiot. So long as the Scoobies aren't holding Buffy leaving against her. She thought that the vamp was dust that killed her sister. She doesn't know that he rose again. Nice going Anya with the little orb. That was pretty cool. Look forward to more.

Mmh - that was different. So Dawn is gone and the vamp is only the energy she was once before? Would make him a big villain - hard to slay. Poor Buffy. And Willow will be no more Willow either.

Excellent first chap! Way to get all the elements pulled together. Dawn gone (no big sad for me there), her "key" power passed on to a reanimating vamp (scary), Buffy turning to Spike's love now that she's without her family (too bad Scooby's!). Can't wait for more.
