Thank you thank you for not killing someone or putting them in a coma! The one thing the Spuffy fandom certainly does not need is yet another AU high school fic with comas and amnesia. I love the way you worked out the story to get Spike into Doublemeat Palace with Buffy, and I certainly love the "Oh, how the mighty have fallen" because it's something I could definitely see Buffy saying if this situation and lifestyle was presented to her. Great job with it so far!

Ok, first let me say that I loved this chapter. I just have one lil thing I'm curious about... it doesn't seem like the accident and him having to get a job had that much of an impact on him. He still seems like everything's fine, he's cool, he can pull it off. I would think he really needs a wake up call or something to make him realize that his "jerkiness" needs to calm down before Buffy will even consider him. Maybe I'm rushing ahead or something. Anyway, just my thoughts. NOT flaming you! Could never do that. I love this story and I can't wait for more! =)

Spike's going to have something come up in a later chapter that will make him think twice about his job and his popularity standings LOL I won't give anything away, but a guy like him wouldn't ordinarily be cool with working at Doublemeat Palace, so I'm going to try to work that in. Buffy will realize he's not a jerk, but he has some stuff to do/say before then:)

For the love of god, or if you don't believe in that whole thing, all things on this green earth that are wonderful (like Spike) please, please, don't put him in a coma. If you do, well, I'll probably keep reading it, but it will make me think you're just following some high school, teen angst script that is required of all fanfic writers. That stuff doesn't happen a whole lot, and recently it's been pissing me off when a bunch of authors have this cut and dry formula, or try to push things too far. Please, please, don't put Spike in a coma and then give him amnesia. Coma alone I can live with, but then amnesia... omg. I just can't stand that. This has been a really long rant, but I just want to get my opinion out there for whoever will actually read it. Some Spuffy authors on this site (not going to name names) don't seem to get that comas are rare, as is amnesia, and it doesn't happen to every drunk that gets in a car crash. Not that I'm promoting drinking and driving, that's just how real life works. This is getting really long... maybe this isn't quite the forum. Anyway, I've liked what you've got so far, and only time will tell about the rest of it.

Author's Response: I agree completely about the coma/amnesia thing- sometimes it's really ridiculous to see that be woven into a story, especially if it happens mid-way instead of in the beginning. Plus, I would have no idea how to write all of that and doubt I'd be interested in it, so no worries LOL Then again, I have the same type of reaction when Buffy suddenly becomes pregnant at the end of a story so the fic can finish up LOL I like a lot of baby/kid fics, but some are very off-putting to me. Thanks for the review!:)

Author's Response: LOL Yes, Buffy was being mean for a bit, but Spike's at fault completely. No worries- nothing bad happens to him or anyone else. And yes, this will lead him to working at the good old Palace:)

You’ll never change.” If he did hear, really hear what Buffy said he knows now what he has to do :) I hope nothing too bad will happen now He can be glad - to drive and drunk can get very deadly - to the driver or his victims. And when Buffy did go - I didn't see Riley. Seems as if he didn't came. Even the better :)
