Sweet Spuffy chap. It's really fun reading this! I'm so curious how Spike's team (or Angel's for that matter) is going to resolve this mess they are in. l mean they did commit crimes, no matter what or how noble their motives might be....

Wow, so many things happening in this chapter! I loved Buffy wanting to take a bath and everyone's reactions, especially Spike's:) And the rat thing was a nice touch. Poor Joyce- I'm sure she's beyond worried. I can't wait to read more when you have a chance to update!

I would be freaked out by the rat, too. *giggle* Spike thnks :) I thought the same - when Angel didn't got the rat, Buffy would have Spike to take care of her :)) Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: I hate rodents. My daughter bought 2 mice for a science project, last year? OMG. In just three days, the one mouse got out of the cage and roamed the house! (Personally? I think one of our cats got a hold of it, but I'm not sure). Actually, my husband claims it slipped through the front door. Mice don't live long, apparently. The second mouse made it through the project (got my daughter and A) and survived for a few more months. Poor little thing had a stroke? Anyway, we're rodent pet free now (thank God!) Author's Response: No, no lj or site. I did once, but I'm so computer illiterate that I had to give it up. My daughter has one, and she's offered to post my fics on it. However, she's 14 and I'm a bit skittish with some of the material in the fics. Anyway, thank you for reading and reviewing. spuf

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm really glad that there are interested readers, especially in a somewhat period piece. I love period pieces, but I think alot of readers stay away from them because they are afraid the characters are not on canon. That's what makes writing them difficult, I think anyway. I try to keep Buffy spunky and kick ass, as much as possible and Spike is snarky and hot, so that makes it easier to keep him in character. Also, I am a history buff so I try and throw some historical info in every chance I get. Thanks again, spuf

That's the most of ever heard Daniel speak. He's cool, and I love the way you have Giles all gentlemanly towards Buffy. Been to Nogales, back in the 60-70's don't think much has changed from being a little border town in the 1800's. Same hot and dirt. Good chapter

Author's Response: I always loved Oz! He was so laid back and cool. And Giles, to me, would always be a genteman, no matter what he did for a living (tee hee). I'm amazed anyone has even heard of Nogales, much less been there! I lived in that part of Arizona during the 70's (Sierra Vista, AZ) and yes Nogales is not much. Tombstone really gives me a yuck because it's still so very small and all. That's why I'm using that area in the story, because I am somewhat familiar with it and Huachuca Mountains near there. I just hope that if Caleb finds her, he'll back the hell of or maybe be shot by Spike in a 'gentleman's duel' LOL I hate that man with blinding passion! I'm happy Daniel's okay, and it sucks about the Sheriff, but Buffy will get over it once she starts really falling for the spectacular miracle that is Spike:)

Author's Response: Since Spike, Buffy and the gang will be on the run for a while, it'll give our heroine some time to fall under Spike's charms! The sheriff had to be taken out of the whole posse picture, for a reason. Thanks for reading and reviewing, spuf
