Spike's talk with the mysterious stanger was really cyptic, but interesting. I loved little Rupert's appearance in this chapter. Great update!

Mmm interesting.. the hooded figure was there again, speaking in riddles. And Rupert? Little Rupert is Rupert Giles? Oh yeah, it is. I wonder what Elizabeth saw that she wanted Spike to sit and listen to Rupert Giles. :)

Wow..What a cool twist..9 year old Rupert.! ..I take it that he will make his way back into the story at some point as an adult?

I am still in the dark about what is really going on..but I can't shake the feeling that Elizabeth and Spike will go seperate ways at some point in time. You have built on them so much as a couple at this point..it will be VERY sad to read if that happens. Great chapter ; )

Playing catch up from the these last two chapters..

It is very romantic how much control Spike is able to have for Elizabeth..and though it wasn't suppose to be funny..it was amusing how the little girl was clinging to Spike. I am now wondering if Spike's strength is becoming the norm for him..or if it was just slayer blood. Once again, a vampire reconized that mark. Can't wait til' all becomes clearer about that. Great update!

I really enjoyed the action in this chapter. You did a great job of describing Spike's fight with the older vamp. It's sort of a shame Spike didn't pump him for a bit of information about the symbols before he killed him though. Even though he was kinda cranky in the beginning I liked Spike's interaction with the little girl. Loved the Spuffy interlude at the end of the chapter. Wonderful update!

So both are not sure either what all means what the fortuneteller said. And now they stumbled into something in the subway. A bloodbath? Must have been vampires. Oh they found too kids ~ and the slayer found them. And because Spike saw his mate in danger he did strike and the slayer lost. And then the marks reacted. Was it because of the slayer blood he drank? But it was only him and both marks reacted. Maybe the children? Looking forward to the next chapter. More answers or more questions then?

Once again..my head is swimming with the possibilities..Are Buffy and Spike's markings companion markings? Why is Spike's giving off one signal.. and Buffy's a different typle? I really am hoping that these symbols and their meanings are not going to usher in a time of NON Spuffy! Great update..still in the dark though..lol But great update : D

Wow...what do those runes really mean? Is what the witch says partly true? I hope not in Spike's case.
On another note, I miss reading bout their relationship! Hopefully some of that will come soon along with some more answers! I can't wait to read more!! UPDATE SOON PLEASE!!!!!!!

Author's Response: What the witch say is true. Spike's mark is a warning to those who would go after him... pretty much telling all demons not to mess with him

Ah, now we are in 1948. Well the kind of books they are looking for aren't normally in public libraries. No wonder they didn't find much. Though a codex was mentioned? Would be interesting for our two to get this one. They are visiting a fortune teller now? I wonder if the witch can tell them something about the symbols too. Mmm that didn't tell much for now. It were the same words they heard before. That brought more riddles... Elizabeth's mark means Servant, Mother, Companion for her. That would go with the "vessel" for whatever she was chosen to be. And Spike? His destiny will remake or unmake what we believe is true? Wow.. so looking forward to get to know more about it.

So to Cleveland now. Oh, it was before, means it was the time when the Master got trapped. That's good for our two. And Elizabeth had her hair cut.. well good thing is if things get better she can let it grow again. :) And they still don't know what the symbols mean... more later about that I think.

It was amusing how those girls wanted a piece of "Andy" but didn't give Spike a second glance! lol

Even though their life is so unsettled..it seems as if Elizabeth has found a marginal amount of piece with her soul. At least she is getting by a little better. I can't imagine what would happen to her if Spike wasn't with her though..She really NEEDS him. Thanks for the update..it was a great!
