oh, another tearjerker.......and he keeps saying if he can forgive her......how about him asking she if she'd ever forgive him.......This is about them....this is about a woman who felt humilated enough who yes went overboard...her blnd pain making her do an desperate humilating thing....but can't he see the strength in her at least now trying to fight to save them.......when has he tried to fight for them.....he's just now realzing how he made her feel......This story makes my head hurt it is has me so pulled in......I hope we have more soon......for it would be nice to see if Spike even knows how to treat a woman like a friend......one he loves as more then a friend, but treated her more like a secret fuck toy instead of the words he used to describe her......when will he finally treat her as HIS GIRL and not just someone he liked to screw. Not saying Buffy should get off easy.....but again he is doing what he did before.....he cuts her off and has yet to listen to her....just like before.....okay, off to bed now.....lets see if he like Buffy will listen to that inner voice that is trying to guide him toward finding if there is something worth saving. I think it can.....for if it don't kill you it can only make you stronger.......or something like that

First off, I think your story is fantastic! The only thing that's bothering me is that every time Buffy brings up the "I'm just a fuck to you", Spike seems to always go on the attack. While this is of course understandable, you never have Spike either in his thoughts or words take the response further than turning it around on Buffy - he never takes any responsibility in the arguement. Then, you have Buffy get really guilty about how right Spike is, and never come up with a solution for her issues. After all, it takes two to argue, and by 'favoring' one character over another, the story becomes less real. Other than this, however, I'm loving your story. The amount of detail you put in your characters emotions come through load and clear. Hope another update comes soon!

Author's Response: Thanks for your comments Rocco...all fair and valid points...I favourite Buffy alot this chapter so that I could give alot more time (I hope) to Spike's character in the next chapter. As for a solution to her immediate problem...hmm a bit difficult for what I felt the charater to come up with in one chapter. I hope that I project many layers of fiction within the story of PULSE, too have solutions to such serious actions all in one chapter I think would be cheating the story. Yet I do hear what your saying, I do agree to some extent and I'm always willing to listen to what people have to say. Just like a guy, he can't see how far he pushed her. Just like a girl she didn't know when to walk away. He can't see that he made her feel a like a whore which would equal to what she made him feel.......she tried to talk, and he returned it with sex.....when she tried to tell him she wanted to go out and do things together......I thnk she should find someone who knows how to give love and love and not make it all about sex. He needs to find someone that likes the sex and doen't care if they are told he loves them or not and will keep his bed warm and their mouths shut and just fuck......sorry, bad day, put I see where they might just for once TALK and not hump or hurt each other......GREAT chapter, I like a story that makes me feel so strongly about a character it pisses me off sometimes or makes me laugh to cry....and story had done about all of it........I watch for you update all the time.....

LOL I have to agree with all your comments, yet...LOL but that would be telling. You'll just have to see how it pans out. and I hope the police/rescue doesn't spread the story around. How embarassing for Spike, this could have repercussions at his job. Cops talk to ER nurses, Buffy did a bad thing making this public like this. She also could be charged for making a false call, and abandoment, with neglect charges. Oh so many possible things.. defibulation at 360 would not help the electricty would burn then out, but continuous CPR might give them a chance or work out their promblems and finally get it right.

Author's Response: Thanks Kimber... yes I would have too agree that this is more asystoly than cyanotic....I think it needs more like a defibulation of 350 kJ (electric shock to the heart when persons heart had stopped) than CPR. But I promise all will be revelied soon....

Okay, so I was really angry with Spike before, but now I'm very unhappy with Buffy! How horrible to leave him tied to a bed...although the imagery is hilarious! Fabulous update, and I hope all of the new changes for you are working out:)
