I think that taking the Initaitive down is a really good idea on Buffy's part--seems like they got a little too outo f control--or maybe it's that they got a little too in control.

Ethan calling Angel really gives me the willies. Angel might not think himself evil, but he has lost sight of the mission.
Wonder what Wes is up to? And Conner - that's quite something for the boy to not be found even with mystical means. You didn't mention Lorne, though he's probably found somewhere to bartend or sing.

Man, the Initiative humiliated Spike as much as possible - poor thing. Did he get a new coat among his new clothes? That would be nice.

Good to see Buffy connecting with the world again. The girl is like a turtle or an ostritch, in the way she likes to hide from growing up.

This was another entetaining chapter. The Initiative has certainly changed the rules, and Buffy's sickened reaction was well realized. Her lack of initial response to The Initiative was explained, though Oz' disappearance should have set off slayer alarm bells.

Angelus is certainly one smug vampire, sitting about trying to decide what his heart's desire is so he can be justly rewarded? I hope his reward is a lot less pleasant than he imagines!

Having Willow join them for dinner is a good way to get information and reconnect. I'm looking forward to her arrival as well as I'm Spike's reaction to taking down The Initiative.

Some mention was made in Chapter One - Joyce dead, Dawn died on Tower, Riley turned and Buffy killed him, Oz went into Initiative and was never seen again, Anya and Xander are in Cleveland.
