I'm feeling what you guys have to say about this and I do respect your valid views. Right now, though, I'm putting myself in Buffy's position and can truly understand why she is responding the way she is. Just because her reactions (to possible child for instance) aren't what others would do or agree with, doesn't make her wrong (cause come on, how wrong can emotions be? We can't help how something makes us feel. Only how we respond to those emotions. Like being selfish, or instance. But I don't see Buffy as being selfish here. She didn't throw a hissy, and I hope she doesn't cause that would piss me off. She was just saddened. I don't see the selfishness in simply being sad. )

I don't remember Spike giving Buffy and ultimatum. If he did, it wasn't clear to me. I would figure that Spike giving an ultimatum would serve to have more people against him in this story. The only reason I am pissed at him is because he dismissed Buffy's dreams as frivilous and it's never been indicated to me that being a divorce lawyer at his Stepfather's firm (for he could do this anywhere...he just wanted a quick way in, IMO) was Spike's dream. And even if it was, Spike never argued this fact with Buffy, only the fact that he wanted to provide for his wife. I still stand firm that he could have done that in the States with his wife.

As for the affair, we really still don't know if Spike hasn't gotten his rocks off with someone else. When he said there was no one in his life, he could have meant no one that he has wanted to keep. Yes, Buffy is having an affair. Usually, that is frowned upon, however, in this situation I would say that it is understandable (to me at least) that she is seeking some form of companionship with another since Spike did choose to ignore her ultimatum and leave. She waited for three years and Spike's a no show, no hear. Why not a divorce? Ask Spike the same question. I can only assume at this point that Buffy hoped against all hope that Spike would return for her. And no, this affair is not fair to Lindsey especially considering Buffy KNOWS how he feels about her. (Lindsey is guilty for staying with her and is a dolt for doin so).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I go to read the next chapter that Buffy won't do something to piss me off.

Hmmm, actually they both gave ulitmatiums.....but if I remember correctly it was Buffy who left town first. Telling William he wasn't worth a second go.....hmmmm. But it still boils down to he had not found someone else.....and she's been technically cheating on him for 5 years.....and she had the nerve to feel upset he might have produced a child, LOL. I guess the fact she left without talking to Wiliam is why I see her more ot the selfish one here...both young, selfish and full of hopes and dreams....but I could see more on Will's side in being able to get his experince, spend time with his family he only saw when he could travel there.......and that Buffy didn't have to give up anything at all.......the fact is if she'd been with Will, she might never have gotten discovered....might never had went to the same clubs, never caught Lindsey's eye being married........alot of what if's that would've still prevented her from getting where she is today.......so now is the time to figure out......is the adreniline rush of the crowds and needing Lindsey is what she really wants....or does she now want to fight for the man who thinks she had moved on to someone else who has given her the dream she said she's wanted........someone will need to bend, but who will do it.....the woman who heard that her husband had no one else.....or the man who's wife has someone else.......hmmmmm. I guess we will soon find out what is up Beasleysmom's sleeve.

Ha Ha!! Buffy got what she deserved. Actually, she deserves worse, but that was beautiful. She doesn't deserve either guy, stringing them both along like that, in different ways.

Hey, divorce filed in CA means what they have is divided in half. She's going to owe him an ass load of money based on the community property laws.

Another great update. That was an interesting meeting. I can't wait to find out where things go from here.

oh jeez....dont tell me it's true!! please update again soon, i need to know how this continues. Buffy obviously still loves him, and let Lindsey go away... yuck. ;-)

DaniD, is there room up there for two? You're singing my favorite tune. Sure Buffy gave William an ultimatum, deciding that her dreams were important. It is William who chose to dismiss her dreams and leave. What that action communicates to me is that Spike did not have enough love for Buffy to work with her to help her realize her dreams. He was in the best position to do that (even after a year or two of establishing himself as a lawyer in Stepdad's office). All sorts of opportunities of the legal variety can be found in the music industry. But apparently he wanted to be a divorce lawyer instead. Hmmmmmm.... I'm sure he can save himself a buttload in legal fees.

GO William.......it anything this will hopefully open her eyes.....and if it didn't open Lindsey's then he gets what he deserves.........by staying and not moving on......realizing she will NEVER love him the way he loves her.........

good for spike. you know i'm definitely love's bitch. I never would have left my husband to follow any dream. unfortunately i'm the one who always gets left. thay's why i read spuffy, at least there is a happy ending in sight. hooray for angst follwed by the inevitable happy ending.
