Author's Response: Lust and love, that is the answer ;) .... Spike is in full-pirate mode, this is not just about lust, I think he's made it clear that he loves Buffy above everything. At the moment though this is his one chance to ensure that Buffy will marry him. He's not exactly thinking with his head, he's more like acting or rather reacting to everything that's happened. He's in want, take, have mood... As to your question if Buffy can face María if she's a naughty girl, I'll just say that at this moment that's the least of her concerns. She is in love with William, she saw the love in his eyes, behind his words and well, ever since that first kiss on the cliff, she's been his, she's just acting upon this...I can safely say though that all of your questions regarding those issues will addressed on chapter 47...Thanks for reviewing, darling.
