Ok, I have to admit that the thought of reading a crossover fic has never appealed to me. But the reviews that this story piqued my curiosity. Very well written--you've done a super job at tweaking the original story (glad to know you've read the books a few times!!) and involving Buffy, Spike and Dawn. I can't wait for the next chapter :) --oh yeah--glad to know the Gandalf/Dawn bit was a joke...

Author's Response: Glad to know you read the author's note all the way to the end. Alot of people seem to have reached the bit about Gandalf/Dawn and decided to email me right there. So much so that I debated starting the third chapter with the line "It was a joke". I admit, many of the LotR crossovers I've seen have been crap. I knew it would be something of a struggle to get some people to even consider reading it. There's a few good ones out there. All hope isn't lost. The only thing to keep in mind is that most of them, even some of the good ones, seem to be Buffy/Legolas. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's just not my thing. Thanks for the cool review.
