Too bad-- It's so sad when one builds up expectations of how a thing is going to go down, that nothing will ever live up to those expectations. I hope Buffy gives him a chance to explain.

Just read this from the beginning and I wanted to thank you for taking such care with the story and characters. The dialogue is realistic and snappy, and the characters are smart and delightful to read. The strong friendship between William and Buffy has been believable, and their attraction and subsequent romance was well paced. The young love theme is well realized, including roller coaster emotions and lust addled encounters. You're peppering in a lot of humor between these two, and it's fun to read. This latest twist was inevitable - if there's no conflict, there's really no plot.

See, you've just posted this chapter and I know I've read this! Did you post it on those other sites before this one? It's still weird because this is the main fanfic site I read from. I dunno, maybe it's just a big ol' deja vu.

Author's Response: Actually I wrote the first draft of this chapter earlier this week in an A5 note book with a blue ballpoint pen. I was sitting in bed at the time having a nice cup of tea and hoping Liam wouldn't wake up before I finished.
